    Man Utd 2-0 Sevilla

At full tilt, Man Utd are too good for this Sevilla side. But they need to guard against complacency.

Sevilla almost nicked what could have been a priceless goal there because of a bit of sloppy defending.

If United get it right in the second half, they could end the tie before the trip to Spain.

Oh, wow! Sevilla almost snatch a goal at the very end of this half!

David de Gea pulls out a brilliant save to stop a header from a corner from Tanguy Nianzou. The ball loops up and it needs Raphael Varane to stay strong to head off the line.

The danger remains but a sliced shot and then referee's whistle ends the threat. I think he feels there is a foul in there somewhere.

    Oof.

It's been very sloppy in the last 10 minutes. I don't think that Sevilla are anywhere near good enough to hurt this Man United team but they are getting opportunities.

Just one slip and this game is completely different compared to how it would be if Man United got another goal.

They need to challenge this team because there are more goals to be had.

Manny: Not this again! Martial is fit for one game, and everyone starts romanticising about him playing next season. He's such a talent, but that's useless if he can't stay fit for stay fit for more than 10 games a season. Move on.

The intensity has gone down a bit, it's important for Man United to keep the pressure high and keep asking questions.

ETH certainly seems like changing Man Utd fortunes like SAF did years ago. Literally turning players like Rashford, Sabitzer into top contributors and Man Utd playing like how they should be - utterly dominance!

Is there any more frustrating player to watch than Jadon Sancho? Has good technical ability, but never seems to want to beat a man or take a shot. Not good enough for Utd.

Sevilla can't take advantage of the free-kick.

Ivan Rakitic curls his effort over the wall but also the bar.

That's not a yellow card. The referee has just given a yellow card for something that is a red.

Fernandes threw himself at the ball but where is his hand supposed to go?

I agree with the free kick but it is nowhere near a yellow card.

And now Bruno Fernandes is booked for sliding in to block a Nemanja Gudelj shot near the edge of the United box. It hits his arm, but what is he supposed to do to get his arm out the way? That's harsh.

It will cost him an appearance in the return leg too.

The VAR team are happy to let it stay as yellow. I think Erik Lamela may be a little fortunate there. It was right on the line of yellow/red.

I agree with the Manchester United players, how is it a yellow card? It's a red card.

Lamela knows the ball is gone and he stamps on Casemiro.

It looks like he could have pulled out and he didn't.

Yep, VAR is looking at this to see if it warrants a red rather than yellow.

Erik Lamela doesn't escape a booking. He puts his boot down on Casemiro's shin. The Man Utd midfielder has slid in to tackle.

VAR will take a look to see if this deserves to be upgraded to something worse for the ex-Spurs man.

Another good chance for the home side.

Jadon Sancho is in from Anthony Martial's pass, but as a sign of his low confidence he turns away from goal. Casemiro is set up for a shot that is blocked.
