  2. Form favours Celticpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 30 April 2023

    Rangers v Celtic (13:30)

Rangers will have perhaps seen a flaw in the Celtic armour as their city rivals were held to a 1-1 league draw at home to Motherwell last Saturday. A result that ended a 17-game winning run.

However, they stumbled themselves the following day - 2-0 away to Aberdeen - their second defeat in three games after their 3-2 loss at Celtic Park.

Rangers have won three of their last 10 meetings with Celtic, but none of those have come in the five since their last win - at this stage of the cup a year ago.

Rangers' gameplan at Celtic Park was much better.

The way they pressed high, cut the supply to Callum McGregor. And, without possession, Rangers were really good. But they need to get their creative players - Raskin and Cantwell - on the ball and do the business.

    Rangers v Celtic (13:30)

If you have a few moments before kick-off, you should read Tom English's article outlining the statistics that have stacked up against Rangers in recent games against their city rivals.

And he concludes that this semi-final is more significant for the Ibrox side and manager Michael Beale than it is for Celtic.
