That the Terriers find themselves in a position to secure their Championship safety with a game to spare is in itself a minor miracle.

Veteran boss Neil Warnock came out of retirement, and curtailed his holiday, to take over from Mark Fotheringham in February.

He oversaw a win in his first game in charge but back-to-back 4-0 defeats, at Burnley and at home to Coventry, left them bottom of the table and seven points adrift.

However, Town have since gone on a run of just two defeats in their past 11 and that, combined with Reading's six-point deduction for breaching the terms of an agreed EFL business plan, means that simply avoiding defeat tonight will be enough to see them avoid falling back into League One for the first time in 11 years.

Should they lose to the Blades tonight, then Monday's game with the Royals will be a shootout for the remaining relegation place.

Neil Warnock has made two changes to the Huddersfield starting XI which beat Cardiff last weekend, with David Kasumu and Rarmani Edmonds-Green in for Josh Ruffels and Brahima Diarra.

Sheffield United make four changes from the side which thrashed Preston on Saturday - George Baldock and Sander Berge return to the Blades midfield, defender John Egan is back and 19-year-old Daniel Jebbison starts up front.

Huddersfield: Nicholls, Ward, Pearson, Edmonds-Green, Lees, Hogg, Helik, Rudoni, Kasumu, Headley, Koroma.

Subs: Vaclik, Rhodes, Ruffels, Hungbo, Jackson, Diarra, Harratt.

Sheff Utd: Foderingham, Egan, Basham, Robinson, Baldock, Berge, Norwood, Lowe, Ndiaye, McAtee, Jebbison.

Subs: Davies, Stevens, Fleck, McBurnie, Sharp, Coulibaly, Doyle.

To paraphrase Huddersfield boss Neil Warnock "you've got to do anything to get three points".

Well, tonight one will be enough to see his Terriers side pull off one of the great Championship survival escapes.

Standing in between them and guaranteed safety are already-promoted Sheffield United.

With just 20 minutes to kick-off let's get straight into it.
