Tomorrow marks the 10th anniversary legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson announced he was stepping down as boss of Manchester United after 26 years in charge.

"The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about. It is the right time," Ferguson said on 8 May 2013.

It's also 10 years since United last won the Premier League title. They start this game 19 points behind leaders Manchester City with five games left.

This is huge for both clubs at each end of the table.

West Ham have lost their past three Premier League games and sit four points above the relegation zone.

Manchester United looked nailed on for a top four finish but have wobbled lately, dropping five points in the past three league games.

Throw into the mix Hammers boss David Moyes is up against his former employers and we have all the ingredients for a Sunday night blockbuster.

After Newcastle's defeat, Manchester United have the opportunity to go above them into third. But another defeat for the Red Devils, following their late setback against Brighton on Thursday, will really give in-form Liverpool hope of sneaking into the top four.

The quality from Arsenal came through in the end.

Newcastle gave it everything, they just came up short.

Need time to get your breath back after that? Well, there's not long to go until kick-off in our next Premier League game. It's another huge one as well as West Ham host Manchester United at 19:00 BST.

We'll start building up to that one but stick around for all the quotes from the Newcastle and Arsenal camps following an utterly breathless encounter.

There are boos from disappointed Newcastle fans, but quickly applause fills the stadium.

It is a game that deserves plaudits. A brilliant contest between two superb sides.

Arsenal have got the job done, though, as they had to in this title race. They took the chances they needed to and were so, so resilient too.

A battle over the ball near the Newcastle corner flag sees a goal-kick given to the home side and Fabian Schar and Eddie Nketiah slam palms into each others' chest.

It earns both a yellow card.

Aaron Ramsdale has been magnificent. He steps from his goal to claim and hold another Newcastle corner.

Allan Saint-Maximin drives forward down the left and cuts inside before firing a low shot that forces Aaron Ramsdale to push the ball aside.

Fabian Schar is still up from the corner and is well-placed to poke a shot that drifts over the Arsenal bar. Aaron Ramsdale was worried, hence the full dive.

Arsenal's title hopes rest on them seeing this out now. They are sitting deep, backing themselves to hold firm. A deflection off an Arsenal boot takes the ball out for a Newcastle corner, but the Gunners are able to scramble it clear.

Newcastle aren't built to give games up. They pressurise Granit Xhaka and force him to slice the ball out of play. Cue a huge roar of encouragement.

The resilience from Arsenal.

In those first 10 minutes to weather the storm and know the battering ram is going to come out. You have to be strong, stand up to the challenge, win your battles, accept that is going to happen.

You have to believe in Mikel Arteta has set out to achieve and trust the process.

Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson come on, with Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka sauntering off for Arsenal to yet more boos from the home fans.

The home fans really don't like the way Arsenal have managed this game at times. There are boos as Aaron Ramsdale has the ball knocked from his grasp by Miguel Almiron and then goes to ground as if he's hurt. He doesn't look to be but eats away some time.

Huge shouts for a Newcastle penalty! They won't get one, though.

Elliott Anderson meets a dropping ball in the box to take the ball away from Granit Xhaka, who stands his ground and arches his back a bit. Anderson makes sure there's contact and then goes to ground.
