It is all going off again!

Granit Xhaka is pointing fingers and shouting after going to ground in the box. He feels Joelinton has clattered him.

He is again in the thick of it soon after, giving it to Swiss international colleague Fabian Schar after he challenges Gabriel Jesus and draws a mighty yelp from the stricken Brazilian.

Jack: Incredible that nobody has been booked so far.

The tests for the Arsenal defence keep coming. Kieran Trippier whips a free-kick in from the left and it flies over everyone, including a flapping Aaron Ramsdale.

Newcastle's first change sees Jacob Murphy replaced by Miguel Almiron. He's certainly not going to detract from the fun!

The corner is swung in but it is a bit too high for Dan Burn and the ball flicks off his head to allow Arsenal to clear.

Gabriel Jesus tries to shield the ball behind but is forced to concede a corner. Newcastle are turning the screw a bit now.

Newcastle keep coming.

Joelinton is found on the right in space. He sets up Bruno Guimaraes on the edge of the box but he can't get enough power in his shot to challenge Aaron Ramsdale.

Incredible challenge from Granit Xhaka. He had to make it, had to time it right otherwise he gives a penalty away.

That is worth its weight in gold.

Bruno Guimaraes leaves a boot in on Jorginho. It yields a foul but nothing more. Still we await a yellow card, which is remarkable in such a fiercely-contested game.

Arsenal make their first change. Oleksandr Zinchenko is replaced by Kieran Tierney at left-back.

What a tackle!

Granit Xhaka with a truly brilliant sliding interception to keep this at 0-1. Newcastle sweep forward, firstly through Dan Burn and then Alexander Isak, who sets up Joe Willock in front of goal. Cue Xhaka.

Newcastle are scrambling as Arsenal break through Gabriel Martinelli. He finds Gabriel Jesus for a shot that deflects wide off a Newcastle player.

Nick Pope does some scrambling of his own from the corner, backing up to punch the ball away as it threatened to drop into the far corner.

Nothing less than complete commitment from both sides here. Everything is happening at a million miles an hour.

Alexander Isak drives away down the left for Newcastle but is halted and then Bukayo Saka is prevented from causing any mischief at the other by Sven Botman.

Arsenal's turn!

This is brilliant. Arsenal work space with neat passing and movement. It creates room for Gabriel Martinelli to drift in from the left and then curl a shot against the Newcastle bar with his right boot.

There is simply no let up in this.

I'm delighted to report that neither team seem to have taken their foot off the accelerator.

Newcastle swing a free-kick into the mixer that finds Fabian Schar unmarked. He rises and heads down and on target but is prevented from scoring the leveller by the Gunners keeper's low save.

He really is a fine goalkeeper.
