Congratulations to Rotherham.

They needed to get the result.

For Boro now, it is all about the play-off games.

Rotherham were one of the favourites to be relegated at the start of the season.

They then saw popular manager Paul Warne depart for Derby County in October, but against the odds, Matt Taylor has made sure they will be a Championship club for another year.

And don't mention it, but there is a big chance that at least one of Leeds, Everton or Leicester will be heading to the Aesseal New York Stadium next season!

The New York Stadium is bouncing with Rotherham fans chanting, 'we are staying up.'

The corner is headed away by Wes Harding and when it comes back in, Viktor Johansson claims the ball.

"We are staying up" echoes around the ground.

The Rotherham fans are willing their boys on. They know what this means.

Middlesbrough have the ball and win another corner.

The Millers are into four minutes of injury time. They are SO close to safety.

What a save from Viktor Johansson!

Heart in mouth moment for Rotherham.

The 90 minutes are almost up. Rotherham can almost touch safety.

But finally Viktor Johansson is called into action, but it's not from a Boro attacker, but a Rotherham team-mate.

Johansson reacts brilliantly to prevent Jamie Lindsay inadvertently scoring an own goal.

Rotherham are nearly there.

I'm not going to say it, but, a draw does us fine anyway.

But I think we are OK.

Great work from Jordan Hugill as the striker gets back to make a vital defensive contribution as he gets the ball out for another corner.

And yet again, a set-piece comes to nothing for Boro, which then sees Rotherham get up to halfway and win a throw.

That is a good way to eat up the clock.

Rotherham look indecisive and are not clearing their lines.

I'm yet to be convinced that the goalkeeper playing out from the back is the best way to go.

For all Middlesbrough's possession and corners, they have not forced Swedish goalkeeper Viktor Johansson to make any saves.

If that does not change, it will be successive defeats for Michael Carrick's side.

They have retreated into their defensive shell but it's worth reminding what is at stake for them.

They have not stayed up in the Championship since 2016-17 when Neil Warnock pulled off a great escape.

If they can hold on for victory they'll be playing second-tier football next season.
