We could certainly do with something like that to liven this up a bit, Steve.

Re:Tom (16:54) Maybe we’ll have to think out o’ the box. Your suggestion will put Ederson up front - not sure thats a disadvantage

Would be interesting at some time to see Ederson play fifteen minutes in mid field if the results are not important to either team. Might get booked but it would be good to see his range of passes.

Chelsea are making a game of it in the second half. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been travelling well with the ball, he's so elegant when he carries it.
Chelsea are definitely looking to get on the front foot a bit more.
Man City 1-0 Chelsea
Plenty of excitement among the home crowd every time Phil Foden gets on the ball and drives at the Chelsea defence, but there's nobody making the run for him this time.
Man City 1-0 Chelsea
It's a bit more open again now.
Chelsea win a free-kick and Enzo Fernandez will try and create something.
The Argentine lifts in a cross - but Trevoh Chalobah's back-post header is tame.
Man City 1-0 Chelsea
Manchester City try and spark into life, with Phil Foden at the centre of a slick passing move that eventually fizzles out.
Chelsea break, and at the other end Lewis Hall pulls a shot wide.
Man City 1-0 Chelsea
An advancing Conor Gallagher tries to feed in Kai Havertz to his right but it's just behind his team-mate and Manchester City sweep up at the back.
No urgency whatsoever from either side so far in this second half.
Man City 1-0 Chelsea
Chelsea have the ball, but they're not getting anywhere. It's been a bit messy since the restart, truth be told.
Man City 1-0 Chelsea
More of the same, or will Chelsea make a bit more of a fight of this?
Bernardo Silva and Rodri receive loud applause as they set off down the touchline on their warm-ups.

The Chelsea players were sent back out very early for the second half.
Here come the champions now.
FT: Brighton 3-1 Southampton
Brighton & Hove Albion
Speaking to BBC Sport, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi said: "It's incredible, one of the best days in my career. I can change my ideas and philosophy depending on the result but I think we deserve to qualify in Europe. We need one more point to qualify for the Europa League and we have to do it, but I have a lot of emotion. I am really proud to be coach of these players and the club. We won together, and I am really proud.
"I can’t explain my emotion, my players are fantastic players, but also fantastic people. They believed from the first moment that they deserved to qualify, we had a tough period, we lost a lot of players to in jury but when you have something inside you push to the end top your target.
"I did not have time to think about a target, I only focused on my improvement and my work. After the game with Palace away, I understood this could be the right season and the right year to achieve one incredible, historic target. We did not win and the players were sad, but that was when I understood their level because only with the level of these players can you achieve this historic target."
HT: Man City 1-0 Chelsea
It was a good first half for a number of players given the chance to impress by Pep Guardiola.
Phil Foden completed all 31 of his passes in the first half.
The only other player on the pitch in the first 45 minutes with a 100% pass accuracy was Conor Gallagher. The Chelsea midfielder made two passes.

Southampton
Southampton boss Ruben Selles said: "We talk about the key moments and in the first half we knew what we had to do. We had the first big chance with Carlos Alcaraz one-on-one and then we conceded two goals very quickly. Then we scored the goal [Walcott] and it's a situation that happens more than not when we score a goal this season and then it's disallowed. It was a disappointing moment but it was not the only moment. We show we are here ready to play and compete against one of the best teams in the league."
On Tino Livramento's return: "The long term injuries are the worst ones because they keep you away form your passion and he has been fighting against that injury for too long. Every time he was ready to come back, something happened. We wish him all the best and we hope he is healthy for his career."
On his future: "If the club want to make a a decision before the end of the season, I expect some respect and communication before or I will be very disappointed."

Chelsea haven't been great but they've had a couple of chances.
City are doing what they do and dominating possession. It was a great finish from Alvarez to get them ahead and we'll see if they can add to that in the second half.
FT: West Ham 3-1 Leeds
West Ham United
West Ham boss David Moyes to BBC Match of the Day: “It was hugely important [to end with a win at home] as we have not had a lot of good things through this year. But the last week has been fantastic and in front of your own supporters you have to keep at it, and we have done.
“After the euphoria of winning on Thursday, getting players ready for the next game is always difficult. We have had to do the Thursday-Sunday for a few years and it takes its toll, but we are thrilled to be in Europe, we want to be in it again and if we win the final we will be,
“I thought Leeds started really well. We didn’t, we were a bit slow getting up and running but after 25 minutes we got a grip of the game, got more control and by the second half we got the bulk of the possession and it led to a few chances. Leeds were always a huge threat and has so much to lose to we knew it would be a huge game.”
On what it would mean to win the Europa Conference League: “It would be incredible. I’m really looking forward to it. You see pictures of club legends on the wall, around the stadium and training ground. What we are trying to do it get our players on the wall and to do that we have to win. If we can do that it would be some achievement.”
FT: West Ham 3-1 Leeds
Leeds' Luke Ayling, speaking to BBC Sport: "There is still a tiny bit of hope. We have to grab onto that.
"We just have to go out there next week and try and take care of our business. We know it a slim chance but we have to hang onto that and try and go out in a good way because the fans deserve that.
"We will have to try and give our all next week.
"We need to get our heads in the right place this week and try and win a game of football."
FT: West Ham 3-1 Leeds
Leeds United
Here's more from Leeds boss Sam Allardyce to BBC Match of the Day: “It’s two things – confidence and ability, that’s the bottom line. Ability is expressed much better when you have more confidence.
"There wasn’t a lack of confidence with the way we started. But it needed to be really good in the final third to take more chances and we should have capitalised more.
“I was really anxious after the first 10 minutes as we hadn’t got a goal, then we got a brilliant one from a throw-in. But nothing from open play. Our final third play was not good enough.
“We need to get goals to protect our lead as it is a long time since Leeds United kept a clean sheet.”
On whether Patrick Bamford’s injury rule him out of next week: “Probably – hamstring. Another disappointment for me is the lack of impact from the substitutes. You’ve got five subs, fresh and ready to go, eager to get on. You put them on to make a difference and they didn’t. Which is a great shame. The energy was lift was there but the quality wasn’t.
“We slipped up last week when we could have won and today we haven’t shown the quality when needed. So next week has to be much, much better than those two games to beat Tottenham. That’s all we can do. The players need to roll their sleeves up, apply themselves in the right way, beat Tottenham and hope other results go in our favour.”
Earlier, Leeds United's hopes of avoiding relegation were dealt a huge blow in a 3-1 defeat by West Ham, while Brighton confirmed they will play in Europe next season by beating Southampton by the same scoreline.
Let's get some more reaction to those games.

Kev Mcveigh: Those critical of Chelsea's defence should note that at kick off only City and Newcastle had conceded less this season. Only 3 teams have scored less though. The defence isn't the issue.
Nice idea Scott (16:37) but I don't think bringing Foden on after a Haaland hat trick is going to help that much!

Re Scott (16:37) Here's an idea, maybe at half time Man City players have to stay in that exact layout. Haaland would go from CF to goalkeeper etc. Might give teams a chance for 45 minutes at least!
