This half hasn't yet reached the high quality of the first but Brighton will take this scoreline all day long as it means they will cement a Europa League spot tonight.

Alexis Mac Allister and Moisés Caicedo both have shots on the edge of the area charged down as Brighton enjoy their best moment of the second half so far.

Kyle Walker holds up an apologetic hand to Riyad Mahrez after ignoring his team-mate to instead go for goal but the shot is poor, bouncing well wide of goal.

Another change for Manchester City as Kevin de Bruyne is replaced by Julián Álvarez.

Erling Haaland gets most of the headlines but Alvarez has also had an excellent first season in English football. He's looking for goal number 18 tonight.

James: As a Southampton fan, I see many parallels between this Brighton team and Saints from 2016. Exciting manager, exciting players. I just think it'll end in a similar way - the big teams will just buy all their players and they won't be replaced.

Evan Ferguson - another talented teenager in the Brighton ranks - forces a really good save out of Stefan Ortega as he is onto a loose ball inside the box and hammers a shot goalwards.

Danny Welbeck was very good in that first half but it will be interesting to see where he plays now, he may be the one to drop into that number 10 role. A standing ovation for Enciso as he went off, he was that good.

Bernardo Silva goes down inside the box under pressure from Moisés Caicedo as he tried to get to Cole Palmer's ball. There's a few shouts for a penalty in the away end, nothing is given and the VAR check stands by the referee's decision.

Good introduction to the game by Cole Palmer as he pushes the ball past the full-back on the left before stinging Jason Steele's hands with a really well-struck drive.

Manchester City have made a great start to this half.

That's it for Phil Foden as he is replaced by Cole Palmer.

Brighton are also making some early second-half changes. Evan Ferguson and Alexis Mac Allister are on for Julio Enciso - who gets a standing ovation for his wonder strike - and Billy Gilmour.

Manchester City come forward again as Ilkay Gundogan's shot goes just wide of the far post.

It took a little deflection off Levi Colwill so it is a first corner of the game for the visitors, which is played short before Rico Lewis pokes a shot straight at Jason Steele from outside the box.

Erling Haaland's assists have been great in this game, the finishing not so much.

He has another opportunity as Phil Foden clips in a ball from the left and Haaland attempts an ambitious volley but succeeds only in lashing the ball high over the bar.

Brighton attempted 11 shots in the first half against Man City; it's the most any side has managed in the opening 45 minutes of a match against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side in all competitions.
