Arthur M: As a Man Utd fan whose on his way to the game, I have absolutely no hope in my team today. With Haaland and KDB most likely in the line-up, if we start Maguire and Lindelof again I may as well leave.

Tony: I’m a United fan but simply hope City don’t thrash us - if United score early we have a chance, if City score early it could be a cricket score.

It was fifth-round tie and featured goals, scuffles, and Mick Hucknall's half-time analysis.

Peter: This feels like the biggest FA Cup final in many years. It’s City v United, so that elevates it. And it’s being played after the season, given its own weekend with nothing to detract from it. This is how it should be, not relegated to a side show played on the same day as PL.

As a United fan I know we can win this - however unlikely. Problem is we need every player to put in a perfect performance but if City do the same we get destroyed because they're just that good. It's where we are nowadays unfortunately.

Manchester City: Erling Haaland says he will do everything he can to win the treble

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland says he "will do everything" to help the club to a historic Treble.

City have won this season's Premier League and can add to that if they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday and Inter Milan in the Champions League final on 10 June.

United won each of those trophies in 1999 and are the only English club to have done such a Treble.

"It would be unreal to make this history," Haaland told BBC sports editor Dan Roan.

"This is why they bought me of course, to get this, we don't have to hide that.

"It would mean everything. I will do everything I possibly can to try to make it happen. It's my biggest dream and hopefully dreams do come true."

A teenager who had brain cancer has been invited to take a half-time penalty kick at the FA Cup final.

Edward, a 14-year-old from Cirencester, was diagnosed with the cancer in September 2020.

On the day of his final operation in August 2021, Edward launched a campaign to raise money for Brain Tumour Research., external

Edward's "100 Strikes Against Cancer" challenge , externalinvolves taking 100 penalty kicks at 100 different locations - whether it's in a field with makeshift goalposts or in a stadium at a cup final - with the hopes of raising £100,000 for Brain Tumour Research.

The idea came to him whilst he was going through a "horrendous" treatment programme which consisted of multiple operations, high-dose radiotherapy and months of chemotherapy.

His parents said: "Each kick is a major achievement for a boy who came out of surgery unable to walk or talk."

The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, spoke to Sportshour on BBC World Service earlier today about just how big a game this is for the city.

“This is football history," he said. "The first all Manchester FA Cup final. It’s a massive day for the city region which I lead. I will be there as a very impartial mayor as I support a different club so I can sit on the fence but I am proud of the city of Manchester today.

"This may be controversial but I think Manchester is the biggest football city in the world. Madrid is big, Milan is big but I don’t think either have two football clubs with the same stature as Manchester any more. So this is the biggest football city in the world with its first all Manchester FA Cup final what a day!"

As a United fan I have to sadly admit that there is still a gulf in class between the two teams today. But this is the FA Cup final where anything can happen and if United can be at their absolute best today I believe they can surprise a few people.

If you focus fully on Haaland then others players will step up and take advantage. United need to be aggressive to avoid letting City settle into a rhythm.

United must use their pace up front and try to get Rashford in behind as often as possible. They need to be calm and confident in possession.
