    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC One: "We have spoken about what we have to do to try and win the game. It's two teams from the same city and that makes it very nice for the first time in the history of the FA Cup.

"I'm not thinking about next Saturday, it's just about today and then we see what happens.

"It's the FA Cup final, it's so attractive. The players could be thinking about the Champions League if we were in the Premier League and had already won the title but this is the FA Cup final."

Manchester United's fans are sat at the sun-soaked end of Wembley while Manchester City's are in the shade. A mixture of cheers and jeers greeted the appearance of United's keepers onto the pitch.

They're currently warming up to my left while Erling Haaland's name over the speakers sparked a huge roar from City's followers.

Wembley is filling up quickly. A cracking atmosphere already.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford speaking to Gary Lineker for Match of the Day: "I wasn't happy, when you have been at United for so long you're not going to be happy with seventh place.

"The style of play [before Erik ten Hag] wasn't like I was used to watching or playing at United.

"I was fighting with myself about it, when really its not my choice on how we play it's on me getting the job done. Going into the game I am not going to be thinking about losing, just winning."

Sahil: Whatever way you look at it, starting Stefan Ortega in goal is risky for City. He’s never played in a Manchester derby, never played in a FA Cup final, never played in a game of this magnitude. United have to apply pressure on him early if they can

Man City's form at the end of the season was phenomenal and against Brentford they put out a reserve team. Pep could rest his star players and now he goes into this game full strength and absolutely confident, but it is going to be a tough opponent today.

Manchester United will not be going into this game with the mindset of stopping the Treble, they will want to win it for themselves.

I was lucky enough to get up close - VERY close - to the actual FA Cup earlier, although sadly I wasn't allowed to lift it.

As mentioned by Gary Lineker just now, the engravers have always been busy, etching '2023' and 'Manchester' into the famous old trophy, to save them a bit of time later.

Will they be adding four more letters (City) or six (United) in couple of hours, though?

There is a lot of aggressive chanting from supporters of both clubs on the walk down Wembley Way but mercifully no violence.

It was the same on the outskirts of Wembley Stadium, where pubs have been designated red or blue.

Obviously the match hasn’t started yet.

I do think the chap selling half and half scarves is a bit optimistic though.

  18. 'Massive, massive game'published at 13:55 British Summer Time 3 June 2023

Man City v Man Utd (15:00 BST)

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, speaking to Sportsworld on BBC World Service: “What I believe right now after a long career is that finals and these kind of games in which everyone wants to play, and every talented player wants to show up and do brilliant things to be remembered for the rest of their life.

"I believe that those games belong to the players, more than the managers, so I truly believe in that, and I think both teams are very well prepared with those kind of players.

"First of all, it’s a derby, but I believe for the English people it will be a massive, massive game due to the final, due to the derby, and due to a lot of ingredients in the recipe because players from City, they are showing every season what they are able to do.

"But I remember also Pep [Guardiola] saying a few months ago that [Erik] ten Hag was building a team and they are raising up the level so it will be a great opportunity for United to show up again. Let’s see which one takes the trophy.”

Freddie's wish today is for a 2-1 win with Erling Haaland and Phil Foden on the scoresheet.

For the record, City's players will wear their traditional blue shirts, white shorts, blue socks for the final. Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega will wear all orange.

Manchester United's outfield players will also be in their traditional colours - red shirts, black shorts and socks. David de Gear will wear all yellow.
