    Man City 2-1 Man Utd

Ilkay Gundogan has the run of the midfield and he surges forward before slipping a pass to Kevin de Bruyne. The midfielder gets into the box but his low shot is kept out by David de Gea's foot.

    All Manchester City right now.

United need to start turning to Marcus Rashford more. His running power is such a major threat and they just haven't been finding him often enough.

    Man City 2-1 Man Utd

Manchester United need to make a change as it isn't happening for them now, there's no energy or drive. That goal really seems to have deflated them.

Alejandro Garnacho is lacing up his boots.

Neither Jadon Sancho nor Christian Eriksen have had the best of games today.

Sancho looks as though he lacks a bit of positivity and the Dane's weakness in getting about the pitch is being exposed.

I wonder if Erik ten Hag is contemplating a change that might get Marcus Rashford into the wider areas he prefers.

    Man City 2-1 Man Utd

Manchester United are sitting deep now as Manchester City go on the hunt for a third.

Kyle Walker drives the ball into the box but it is behind Erling Haaland, who does well to then win back possession so City can restart.

I don't see how City can let Gundogan go. He's had such a major impact this season, he's scored big goals and he's a leader in this team.

It would be a major loss if they let him leave.

Manchester City would be foolish to let Ilkay Gundogan go, wouldn't they? Such an integral player in this side.

I've watched some of the FA cup games right back to when the non-league teams entered and I think hands down that is some of the worst defending/keeping I've seen in the entire tournament.

Gundogan is worth whatever he wants. Find me a more effective big-game midfielder... I'll wait!

Another free-kick for Manchester City which Kevin de Bruyne sends into the box for Jack Grealish but his header is behind Erling Haaland.

Pep Guardiola's side then win a corner but De Bruyne's delivery is cleared.

Manchester City are firmly on top right now.

When you know what Gundogan can do why on earth is no one marking him. Appalling defending yet again.

No United player within four metres of Gundogan. Madness!

De Gea should do better there. Yes he saw the ball late but it was not moving at pace.

They've got to go again, United.

They managed it in the first half, albeit through a stroke of luck in my opinion, but they have the abiity to force their way back into this game.

That was awful from a Manchester United perspective.

Ilkay Gundogan was on his own on the edge of the area and no-one got to him when Kevin De Bruyne chipped the ball into his path.

The connection wasn't great and the shot didn't go into the corner but David de Gea didn't get a decent sight of it and couldn't get there.

According to Opta, Ilkay Gündogan is the first player on record (since 1963) to score twice from outside the box in an FA Cup final.

Two massive goals for Manchester City.

In the first half we saw a brilliant one with his right foot, this one is with his left foot. He's on the edge of the box and he hits it into the floor he doesn't catch it flush and I think De Gea has got to do better.

Of all the players on the pitch to give time and space to, Gundogan shouldn't be given any.

It's not struck as cleanly as his first one but it's into the ground, through bodies and De Gea sees it so late.

FA Cup Final: Ilkay Gündogan strikes again to restore Man City's lead against Man Utd

Another for the Manchester City captain!

Fred will be kicking himself as he gives away a needless foul on the right and Kevin de Bruyne floats a free-kick to Ilkay Gundogan, who is left completely unmarked on the edge of the box.

His first-time strike is not as cleanly hit as his first but it bounces through the crowded box and into the back of the net.

The Treble is very much back on!

City need to come out at the start of the next half and make a statement early.

Great match so far. People thought it would be a walkover for City but you can never write off United in cup finals. Happy 40th to my husband Graham.

Harry Maguire to score a 90th-minute winner and end his United career on a high. That would be worth £80 million.
