James scored in the 1-0 win against Denmark and was credited with the assist for Alessia Russo's goal.
She now has two assists today, with a beautifully-weighted pass through for Lauren Hemp to chase onto and the Manchester City forward keeps her calm by sliding the ball past Zhu Yu.
England superb so far and going through in style.

What a fantastic start from England.
I love how close Lauren Hemp and Lauren James are playing to Alessia Russo, they are causing a lot of confusion because China don't know who to mark.

China get into the penalty area and cause some problems for England, before Millie Bright is well placed and able to launch a high ball to safety when under pressure. England yet to concede in this tournament so far and looking solid once again.

England get a free-kick 30 yards out, but decide to play it short and then knock it wide, but it is wasted, with China able to clear when the ball sent into the penalty area would've been the better option.

The Armchair Football Fan: Some real fizz in the passing from England so far. One thing I've noticed in the World Cup so far has been the constant waiting for underhit passes to arrive, slowing everything down. This is much much better.

Haiti have grown into Group D's other match after Denmark's early strike was ruled out.
Star midfielder Melchie Dumornay goes clear down the right but her cut-back can't fine a team-mate in the box.

So close to 2-0. Alessia Russo breaks through and crosses into the middle where Lauren Hemp is about to strike at goal, only to be denied by an excellent last-ditch sliding challenge by Yao Lingwei, who also wins her side a goal kick.
Superb challenge, but this has been a great start from the Lionesses.

That's an excellent low cross from goalscorer Alessia Russo from the left flank and it causes loads of problems for China's goalkeeper Zhu yu.
The keeper can't get a touch, but neither can Lucy Bronze charging in at the back post when any contact would've been 2-0.

The large contingent of China fans have been shouting their support at the start of the match and have been banging drums as well.
Even going a goal down hasn't dampened their spirits.
I can hear a few "Eng-er-land" chants as well but "China, China" is definitely drowning them out.
