Do you take players off to try and win it in that initial period or do you try and keep your best players on for as long as possible including extra-time and penalties?

It's a really difficult one.

Looks like we're going to see some changes for Sweden as well.

Alba Redondo does really well, she doesn't switch off.

Sits on the floor after the initial contact, the ball comes back to her, she just swings in a leg and it was unfortunate not to go in.

What an opportunity.

It is a brilliant delivery from Hermoso into the back post.

Redondo should have done better with the cutback at first, and then the second effort, she's on the floor and just can't sweep the ball inside the post.

She should have scored.

How have Spain not scored here?! What a chance.

Superb delivery into the area from Jenni Hermoso and Alba Redondo gets a toe to it but she's off balance and it takes a deflection out to the arriving Salma Paralluelo on the left.

The teenager does brilliantly well to keep the ball in play and get it back to Redondo but it's a tough one for her on the turf and she pokes it wide. She probably should've scored.

Spain's Salma Paralluelo (19y 275d) is the first teenager to appear in the semi-finals of the Women's World Cup since Norway's Isabell Herlovsen (19y 95d) and Germany's Fatmire Bajramaj (19y 178d) did so in September 2007.

Mariona Caldentey takes the free-kick and the wall does its job.

She looks very frustrated with that and it's no wonder, it was a good opportunity to challenge Zecira Musovic in the Sweden goal.

Salma Paralluelo just offers something completely different.

The Swedish centre-backs are trying to keep up with her, they're really struggling.

The arrival of Salma Paralluelo has given Spain another outlet here.

She bursts forward but with two Sweden defenders on her back she struggles to get it out of her feet and has to go backwards.

Challenge on the edge of the area from Fridolina Rolfo and Spain have a free-kick in a dangerous spot.

We know Asllani likes to pick up those spaces between the defence and midfield, but we haven't quite seen enough of that from her yet.

And then when she does get in there, the balls into her aren't good enough.

Ohhh that was a chance.

Kosovare Asllani does well down the right, she's pointing and shouting for someone to get in a position she can pass to.

Eventually Johanna Rytting Kaneryd arrives and it's a teasing ball into the box but Stina Blackstenius can't get enough on it.
