Shaun: Heading off with the kids for a mini camping trip near the Yorkshire coast - car is packed, so we can watch the Lionesses and then zoom off, hopefully full of England cheer!

Anon: In Kyrgyzstan and thinking that I don't think I have been so invested in an English sporting event since Andy Murray Wimbledon final 2013. Come on Lionesses bring it home.

Edward: Sam Kerr starting is a big surprise and unless she makes an impact in the first half should make it an easier game for the Lionesses as the game progresses.

You might remember this face from last years' Euros.

Tess, from Stockport, went viral on social media for enthusiastically singing and dancing to Sweet Caroline when England won 4-0 against Sweden in the semi-finals.

And she's confident that Sarina's Wiegman's side can reach another final.

"I think [England] are going to smash it," the nine-year-old told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"I like Alessia Russo because the way she’s confident whenever she’s on the ball she never wastes a chance. Rachel Daly, she’s amazing. Lucy Bronze, her headers are really good and Georgia Stanway, her penalties are really interesting.

"I’m wanting to play for England one day."

England captain Millie Bright on the growing sporting rivalry between the two countries: "Personally for me I just see the game as us versus them.

"No matter if I have played against some of them at club level, everyone knows everyone, whether that is being club teammates or playing against them in the WSL.

"Tournament football is so different, yes you know the opponents but anything can happen on the night, it depends on who turns up and who is ready to fight."

"Who wants to play in a quiet semi-final? Not us!

"The game is between two teams that know a lot about each other, but tournament football is all about turning up, fighting for your place in the next game. We are ready to do absolutely everything."

    Australia v England (11:00 BST)

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Stadium Australia

The inclusion of Sam Kerr in the Australia XI suggests they will be aiming to go in hard from the start.

She has not played 90 minutes yet in the tournament, playing 65 against France, which manager Tony Gustavsson said was more than they had intended.

She might not have a full game in her so Australia are definitely taking a risk by putting her in from the start.

England need to expect intensity from the start but as Millie Bright suggested earlier this week, if they can silence the crowd and control the game early on, it might kill some of Australia's momentum.

Coming in off the back of Lauren James, [Ella Toone] is youthful, she wants to get involved, she’s really good at linking up play.

And previously we saw Fran Kirby doing something very similar, a really creative player, really patient and controlled in the area, brings other players into play but has the ability to score.

Off the back of the role Ella Toone was playing at Manchester United in the Women's Super League that hasn’t translated well for her on the international stage.

I think Sarina Wiegman has made her role much more simple taking some of the pressure off her.

The spaces and opportunities she made for the rest of the Lionesses were fantastic. I was really impressed with Ella Toone to come on and play the way she did.

The Lionesses have grown into the tournament. They probably haven’t peaked in terms of a performance. Perhaps today could be that game where they just deliver and are fantastic from start to finish. They’ve managed the tournament conditions really well.

Losing players to injuries and a sending off. This is a team that’s managed every single circumstances that’s been thrown at them.

It's a blurry photo of a young girl in her replica England shirt who would rise to become a Lioness that starts in a World Cup semi-final.

At the time, Rachel Daly was playing in mixed sides for Harrogate-based side Killinghall Nomads Juniors FC.

The North Yorkshire club shared the 20-year-old image of Daly ahead of the Women's World Cup semi-final.

Club spokeswoman Mary Beggs-Reid said: "Maybe Rachel knew one day she would be putting on a real shirt."

"What she and the rest of the Lionesses have done is absolutely amazing.

"It's really given hopes and dreams to lots of little girls, especially at our club."

Beggs-Reid added: "I asked all the girls and boys at Killinghall Nomads if they had a message for Rachel, and the number one message that came from all the kids was, 'Go for it Lionesses. We believe in you'."

Chris Calverley and wife Katrina, along with their two sons, Blake, 12, and Alex, eight, will be heading to today's World Cup semi final.

But once they get through the turnstiles, the family of four will be split between cheering on the Matildas and the Lionesses.

Chris explained, "It's pretty much for all sports the house is split. This match is huge for us. We go along on Wednesday night, and there will be two of us supporting England and two of us supporting Australia."

He added, "The divided loyalties are at such a point that my wife went out yesterday and bought Alex an Australia top but she didn't buy Blake an England top because that's my responsibility. It's getting tense - in a friendly way."

    Australia v England (11:00 BST)

    Karen Bardsley
Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It’s the calm before the storm. There’s a hum of people getting ready. This will certainly become cauldron-like later.

I’ve seen the build up to this tournament, we didn’t see a lot of change in formation or substitutions. There was a lack of running form, lots of creation in front of goal but not a lot of goals getting banged in. The way England started wasn’t the most beautiful football and wasn’t living up to the expectations we saw in the summer.

In some ways it was almost a blessing in disguise that Keira Walsh came off injured - thank goodness she’s fine - but it forced the change in formation and I think it’s been massively beneficial for these Lionesses because I would say that every single player is playing to their strengths in the positions they’re currently in.

Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo look absolutely on fire, like they’ve been playing together for ages up top. Lucy Bronze flying up and down the right, Rachel Daly flying up and down the left, it’s silenced all those questions about who’s going to be playing in that 9. It’s been a fantastic adaptation from Sarina Wiegman.
