In a season where the trio have battled with such ferocity, forcing each other into becoming the very best versions of themselves, all of them having something to celebrate seems fitting.

What an incredible, engrossing and historic season for women's football in Scotland. New records broken, new ground covered, news fans reached. Here's hoping the rise doesn't stop any time soon.

  3. Captain Clark 'couldn't have dreamed' of Hampden glorypublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 28 May 2023

    FT: Celtic 2-0 Rangers

And here's some poignant words from the woman who lifted the trophy.

Celtic Captain Kelly Clark tells BBC Scotland: It's a dream come true. I've watched Celtic Men do that so many times in my 10 years at Celtic. To do it, and be down in history with such a special group of players, it just feels amazing.

It's amazing that it includes a crowd with lots and lots of little girls, who can see what they can do in Scotland. This year, for women's football has been unbelievable and I hope it just keeps going and going.

This is genuinely what dreams are made of. To be honest, as a kid, I probably didn't dream this because it was just so far from reality. But now that it is reality, I'm just delighted.

    FT: Celtic 2-0 Rangers

Celtic manager Fran Alonso tells BBC Scotland: "I'm absolutely delighted. What we've done this year with women's football in Scotland is incredible. Three years ago, I couldn't believe this.

"Obviously I'm biased, but it would have been unfair of those girls didn't have silverware. I couldn't be any more proud. They get the silverware that they deserved. I can't wait to celebrate with our fans, our family.

"You can't imagine how hurt we were [missing out on title last weekend]. We were two minutes away from achieving our dream. Wednesday wasn't the best training session. You could see heads dropped. From Thursday, it was in the past.

"Now we have back-to-back Scottish Cups. It's incredible."

"He [Alonso] was positive. He's always positive. He did say at half-time we had more gears in us, and that's what we did second half.

"I don't know what words to say about the fans. They're unbelievable. Before coming here, I didn't know there was a team like it. The fans are ridiculous week in, week out for us. We couldn't do it without them."
