Bowen was also asked what it was like for Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal to win in their home country, the Czech Republic: "Those boys took about 100 tickets before the game, took our players’ ticket allocation. Everything was set up for us to win it with the two Czech boys coming home, the wait we had for a European trophy. You've got to go through the process for that to happen.

"We struggled in the game a lot I thought but if anyone is talking about the game, I am not listening because we won the trophy. Highest this club has been in a long time."

And on what it means to his family: "I am a little boy from Leominster who never thought I would be here sat with you now. I'm going to celebrate with my old man, my brother. I haven’t cried yet but my dad and my brother were. It shows how much it means and how far I think I have come."

Let's hear from the Player of the Match Jarrod Bowen who scored the last-minute winner for West Ham. When asked how he was feeling, he said: "I can't sum up [my emotions]. It is the best feeling I have ever had in my career, the best moment. When I went through I had a lot of time and it was just make sure you put the ball away. The keeper started to rush out of his goal and I thought 'that is my moment to strike' because he couldn't then set himself.

"I don't know if I fell over but I looked up and the ball was going in and I was just 'this is not happening'. To score a winner in the last minute to bring trophy to club is the best moment of my career."

And on the victory and fans: "I don’t want to use relief as a word but we knew how close we were with the disappointment of Frankfurt [West Ham lost a Europa League semi-final last season].

"I saw the fans, noise they made, numbers that came in. I am proud to do it for my teammates, the coaching staff but I think for the fans as well. You see what it means after the game, I'm a bit stuck for words. Best feeling of my life. I never thought in my wildest dreams as a young boy growing up I would win a European trophy."

Play Off Final, 1992. Seeing Ken Charlery lob the Stockport keeper in extra time to send Wembley wild and The Posh promoted to the First Division (now The Championship). Glorious.

As a Spurs fan, believe it or not I do remember us winning trophies in the dim and distant past. But Lucas Moura's winner to send us to the UCL Final was a moment to stand above all others!

Rice added on his boss David Moyes: "I want to say a big mention as well to the manager. There have been times this year when he's been tested, there have been times this year when a lot of the fanbase wanted him out because of results. If you look at his time at this club, he's come in and saved us twice and then made Europe two years in a row. He's up there with the club's best managers of all time.

"Without a doubt the best day in my career. It's not going to hit me to be honest with you. I'm just going to try and take this moment in."

My first ever live football match, WHUFC v Chelsea at Stamford Bridge over Xmas/New Year very early 70s. Hammers won 4-2 with Clyde Best scoring 2. Was already an Iron but that cemented it for life.

Pompey v AC Milan 27.11.2008. The legend Ronaldinho's free kick and Filippo Inzaghi's late equaliser broke Portsmouth's hearts and sent AC Milan into the Uefa Cup's last 32. Pompey went 2-0 up and the atmosphere was incredible. A night to remember for sure.

Simon Stone also wrote a piece to take in the atmosphere at the Fortuna Arena last night, here is a snippet: "There are moments in football that make you forget the bad stuff.

"They make you forget the idiots who throw things at players, make you forget the players who roll around on the floor as if they had been wounded when, in fact, they have barely been touched.

"Football creates moments that make you forget.

"By the side of the pitch at Fortuna Arena, with West Ham's celebrations in full swing after beating Fiorentina 2-1 to win the Europa Conference League, manager David Moyes saw his dad.

"He went straight over, gave him the firmest of hugs and placed round his neck the winners' medal he had been given by Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin.

"David snr is 87. His son is 60. They both grinned from ear to ear. The joy on their faces was something to behold. A dad with his lad, someone who has proved himself to be successful in the most unforgiving of professions, finally, after 25 years, winning something."

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport in Prague

I was fortunate enough to be walking through the centre of Prague at 2am this morning heading back to my hotel from the game.

The place was buzzing with West Ham fans, who were singing and dancing and celebrating their team's victory last night.

The sheer elation of seeing their team win something, for any football fan is a moment to cherish and create memories that will last forever.

West Ham won't be Premier League champions. We know the biggest final is to come on Saturday.

But for the 5,000-plus fans at the game and many more at the fan park - who had paid lots of money just to be in the same city - winning the Europa Conference League means the world.

West Ham manager David Moyes said he could not "go full Jose Mourinho" with his goal celebration.

"I was halfway down the touchline but I couldn't do a full Mourinho as I can't slide on my knees and the grass was a bit dry. I was worried that I was going to go on my belly so I just ran down.

"I was speaking to Jarrod [Bowen] about it and when he got through first thing I thought was 'he is not going to give offside is he? Is there any chance it's offside?'" Watch the boss' full reaction:

Let's first recap the action from last night. Simon Stone was at the Fortuna Arena and wrote the report: "West Ham ended their 43-year wait for a major trophy as Jarrod Bowen scored a last-minute goal to beat Fiorentina and win the Europa Conference League in Prague.

"The final seemed to be heading for extra time after Said Benrahma's second-half penalty was cancelled out just seven minutes later by a well-taken effort from Giacomo Bonaventura.

"It was a testy and sometimes bad tempered game - and at one point it got downright ugly as Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi was struck by a plastic bottle thrown from the West Ham section.

"The match was settled in the most dramatic manner. Bowen timed his run to perfection as Lucas Paqueta slid a superb pass through the Fiorentina defence."
