    Harry Kane signs for Bayern Munich

    Harry Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times - in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2020-21.

    The former Tottenham striker scored 30 goals in the 2022/23 Premier League season, finishing second behind Erling Haaland who found the net 36 times in the league.

    Minutes before the deal was confirmed, Kane posted a video on his social media accounts, external with a message for Spurs fans.

    He said: "I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I'll be leaving the club today. "Obviously a lot of emotions going through me right now; sad to be leaving the club I've spent nearly 20 years of my life at, from 11-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man now.

    "There's been so many great moments and special memories, memories that I will cherish forever. "I felt like it was the time to leave. I didn't want to go into the season with a lot of unresolved future talk."

    Harry Kane signs for Bayern Munich

    An earlier start than expected but that's because England captain Harry Kane has completed his move to Bayern Munich.

    Bayern have confirmed the signing with this message:

    "Bayern have signed Harry Kane (30) from Tottenham Hotspur. The English national striker has received a contract with the German record champions until June 30, 2027. He will wear shirt number 9 for the Munich team."

    Harry Kane signs for Bayern Munich

    Well, it's done...

    England captain Harry Kane has completed his move to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur.

    Bayern and Spurs agreed a deal worth more than 100m euros (£86.4m) for the 30-year-old on Thursday.

    Kane is Tottenham's all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances.

    Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Friday the deal is "imminent".

    Kane had one year left on his contract and was unlikely to stay with the club.
