Tottenham captain Son Heung-min has been involved in seven goals across his last six Premier League starts against Bournemouth (5 goals, 2 assists), netting a brace at the Vitality Stadium back in March 2018.

He created six chances for his teammates in this exact fixture last term, his highest tally in a single Premier League away game (133 away appearances).

This is a young Spurs team that is still coming together but the fearlessness with which they went about their business against Manchester United suggests there will be many more occasions when the new boss is able to gently chuckle and shake his head about how remarkably well his young charges are performing.

A great deal has been made about the absences at Spurs this season – up front, in goal, and perhaps even in general - but it's possible we were looking in all the wrong places.

Is Ange coming in, similar to when LFC brought in Klopp? Complete fresh start and will play his style only. Would put money on him ending the trophy drought.

People underestimate the impact of confidence, belief, togetherness and momentum. These qualities will be present this season for Spurs, and that's before you even look at the talent in their squad. Spurs will finish 3rd this year.

I think Bournemouth could be pushing top 12 this season, they’ve signed 7 players spending over £100 million. Although I still find the Gary O’Neil sacking strange, always risky bringing a manager into the PL who has no experience of English Football.

It's exactly a year since Bournemouth were smacked 9-0 at Liverpool, with then boss Scott Parker saying afterwards: "I can see some more routs.I have been clear how this season could look for us and I stick by that.

“We have been trying to get more quality in and there are a million reasons why it hasn’t happened.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly Parker was sacked a few days later. Perhaps surprisingly, Bourrnemouth finished 15th.

Andoni Iraola can be reasonably content with the results from his first two games as Bournemouth boss. While one point from two games may not look sensational on paper, it comes with the context that across the equivalent two matches last season –West Ham at home and Liverpool away – the Cherries were beaten by a combined 13 goals to nil.

Since Saturday's loss at Anfield, two more pieces of the jigsaw are in place, firstly with Sunday's signing of United States captain Tyler Adams from Leeds to fill the void left by the departed Jefferson Lerma, and then with Philip Billing signing a new deal.

Rice seems to be carrying a huge responsibility given by English Media since Kane left English football. I don’t think he will be the one to bring Arsenal’s success this season

The cash has been flying about, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta calling for the Saudi Pro League to move its transfer deadline to match up with Europe's major leagues.

The deadline in most of Europe this year is 1 September, but Saudi clubs can buy players until 20 September.

Teams from the Premier League would have to wait until January to replace anyone who left between those dates.

"It is a competitor now, I think we have to change that," Arteta said.

    Thoughts?

Dear Lord, what a sad little life...

Speaking of rebuilds, Premier League clubs have spent a record £1.95bn on players in this summer's transfer window - with a week still to go before deadline day.

According to analysis by Deloitte, the previous record of £1.92bn set last summer has already been overtaken.

"This sensational level of spending appears to be the new norm for Premier League clubs," said Deloitte's Calum Ross.

Clubs are set to break the £2bn barrier in the coming days, the report adds. It's a lot of money isn't it?

Things do look a bit grim for Everton, and that overhaul isn't going to happen before deadline day, I imagine anyway.

Everton could lose their opening three games of a league season for the first time since 1990-91. And that's before football was even invented, you know.

I love the change that Ange Postecoglou has made already but I do think Tottenham will be much better in a couple of months than they are now. I wrote them off in the first couple of games because of that. The issue for Tottenham is if James Maddison will be fit.

Bournemouth have a new manager as well in Andoni Iraola and I saw them at Liverpool last week. They started well and got themselves ahead and then faded. I have a sneaking feeling for Tottenham in this one, but normally when I write Bournemouth off they get a result!

Bournemouth's summer recruit Justin Kluivert is in the XI and has been speaking to BBC Radio Solent about setlling in on the south coast.

The 24-year-old forward, son of Barcelona icon Patrick, said: "I think I'm settling in well in the team. I get my house keys on Wednesday, so I will be moving into my house, and that will give me a better feeling. But I'm feeling good here, for sure.

"I've moved a lot over the last couple of years, but it's always nice to have your own spot. It's always better than a hotel or moving around, so I'm happy that there's only a few days left of it, hopefully."

Excitingly, the winger could be the third player to score in Europe's top five leagues after Florin Raducioiu and Stevan Jovetic. Ever!
