I'm not sure who made the biggest faux pas there.

First Coventry centre-backs Joel Latibeaudiere and Kyle McFadzean got into each other's way and then it's a real sitter for Sammy Silvera.

He should be putting that away.

What a miss!

Coventry get in an almighty mix-up at the back and Morgan Rogers pounces on the loose ball.

He cuts the ball back to Sammy Silvera who is on the edge of the six yard box and completely unmarked.

But the Australian leans back and sends the ball high and wide.

The goal was gaping. That was a glorious chance to make it 1-1.

Isaiah Jones fires into the Coventry side-netting from a very narrow angle.

Some smart interplay with Morgan Rogers had set the winger in behind the Coventry defence.

Brilliant interplay down the left from Coventry almost unpicks the Boro defence.

Josh Eccles releases Ben Sheaf into the box but his cut-back is diverted behind for another corner, which the visitors clear.

Coventry mount a counter attack as Ellis Simms is released down the left.

The striker gets into the box but is held up by Dael Fry and has to settle for a corner.

That's a great chance for Morgan Rogers, he does ever so well.

He travels, brushes off three or four challenges - his shot looks like it's going in but drifts wide.

Boro are inches away from an equaliser.

If it had gone in it would have been a stunning solo goal by Morgan Rogers.

He picks up the ball in midfield and drives and drives forward, twisting and turning though the Coventry defence.

Into the area and he stuns the ball across goal and wide.

Both sides are unchanged at the break.

Marcus Forss and Riley McGree are probably the main options on the Middlesbrough bench if Michael Carrick wants to change things around.

Coventry start brightly as Milan van Ewijk wins a corner, but the delivery is faded into the hands of Seny Dieng.

The Sky Blues get the second half going.

Ellis Simms has had a couple sighters for Coventry, let's hope he finds his shooting boots for the second half.

At the other end I think Ben Wilson has been largely untroubled.

A good first half, more of the same in the second for Coventry, I'd say.

Obviously the goal itself, Boro could've closed down Josh Eccles quicker initially.

Then Matt Godden was totally free, he didn't look to get a true connection but it's a goal.

Boro have played some OK stuff at times, the only thing letting them down is in the final third.
