Coventry boss Mark Robins came so, so close to ending the club's exile from the Premier League last season.

It'll stretch to 24 years next summer.

He's done a brilliant job since taking charge in March 2017, guiding the side from League Two to the brink of the top flight, but will need to reinvent his side after the departures of Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer.

Coventry cause a few issues from their first corner of the game, which Seny Dieng fails to punch cleanly.

First a shot is blocked and then Milan van Ewijk - who has certainly had a lively first league start for the hosts - lifts a shot wide.

The Middlesbrough full-backs are tucked right in, so Coventry's left wing-back Jay Dasilva is getting plenty of joy.

Boro haven't dealt with crosses into their box - Coventry scored from one and Boro have got to be wary, or they'll be punished.

Almost a second from the hosts as they build forward from the back and Matt Godden tests Seny Dieng with a low strike which the Boro keeper can only push to the edge of the six-yard box.

Milan van Ewijk is there to pounce on the rebound but can only divert it across goal and wide.
