    Swansea 0-0 Coventry

First effort of the game for the home side.

Joel Piroe looked to have ran into several defenders but skipped into space to find Jay Fulton to strike from the top of the box, but he's wide with his effort.

Coventry respond with a decent ball into the box but Haji Wright gets his header all wrong and well wide.

    Leicester 0-0 Cardiff

Leicester have started this game well, showing intent in front of their home fans with an enterprising start.

However, rather than getting himself on the scoresheet, Leicester winger Stephy Mavididi has got himself into the referee's book for a foul on Cardiff loanee Josh Bowler. Yellow.

Huddersfield have Delano Burgzorg in their squad too, on the bench, while Jaheim Headley - who was sent-off in the cup tie versus Boro - is back from his ban.

Jonathan Hogg is booked for the Terriers against his hometown club, where he started his career no less.

Gillingham have made a flying start to the season, winning their opening three league games, as well as enjoying a stunning EFL Cup win over Championship side Southampton.

They have done it in clinical fashion too - winning all three league games 1-0 - and no side in Football League history have won their first four games of a season by that scoreline. They do face a test today through against Crawley who have also made an unbeaten start.

Barrow are another team to begin the campaign well, and they take their unbeaten record on the road to Stockport, while Nigel Clough's Mansfield head to Grimsby.

We all know Wrexham love a bit of entertainment and their start to the season has been all-action. They have scored the joint-highest number of goals with eight but also conceded the most - also eight. They beat Walsall for their first League Two win on Tuesday and host Swindon today.

Fellow new boys Notts County are finding their feet after a heavy opening day loss. They are averaging the highest possession figure in League Two this season (68.2%) and head to Doncaster who are looking for their first win of the campaign.

Accrington Stanley and Harrogate Town face each other for the first time in the top four tiers and Colchester United are hoping to avoid losing their opening three league games for the first time since the 2006-07 season in the Championship when they host MK Dons.

    • Accrington v Harrogate

Peterborough players celebrate a goalImage source, Rex Features

Peterborough have put last season's playoff disappointment behind them and made a 100% start to the new campaign. They enjoyed a good away win at Barnsley on Tuesday and will be confident of making it four out of four today against a Northampton side still searching for their first win of the season.

Stevenage have also won three out of three and they head to Reading today who had a mixed week after earning a first league win in six months, against Cheltenham, before being deducted a point for playing their players late.

Unbeaten Portsmouth will look to striker Kusini Yengi to continue his red hot form, with the new signing grabbing four goals in his first three games. How opponents Cheltenham could do with someone like him, they are really missing last season's top-scorer Alfie May who has joined Charlton, and have not scored in their opening four matches.

Blackpool are the only side in the league not to concede a goal and they host a Leyton Orient side who have lost all four games in all competitions.

Joey Barton's Bristol Rovers, and opponents Cambridge are two sides who have started well and they meet at the Abbey Stadium.

Derby have not had the best of starts (P3 W1 L2) and will be looking for some home comforts against Scott Brown's Fleetwood who are yet to win this season.

    • Barnsley v Oxford
    • Blackpool v Leyton Orient
    • Cambridge v Bristol Rovers
    • Carlisle v Exeter
    • Charlton v Port Vale
    • Derby v Fleetwood
    • Northampton v Peterborough
    • Portsmouth v Cheltenham

Coventry warm upImage source, PA Media

Watford couldn't follow up an opening day shellacking of QPR when they were held 0-0 at home to Plymouth last weekend.

They're on the road for the first time this season today with a trip to Stoke, who themselves were handsome winners two weeks ago but beaten at Ipswich last Saturday.

Blackburn battled back against 10 men to take a point at Rotherham last week and are at back at Ewood Park today against Hull.

City responded to an EFL Cup defeat with a romping 4-2 success over Sheffield Wednesday. Has Ozan Tufan, who scored a hat-trick last Saturday, brought his scoring boots to Lancashire?

Wednesday were very much second best on Humberside last week in that 4-2 loss and were also beaten by Southampton on the opening weekend.

So a little bit of pressure on this afternoon's home game against Preston, who beat Sunderland for their first win of the season last Saturday.

And Coventry got their new campaign up and running when beating Middlesbrough handsomely seven days ago, travel to Swansea today, who did their best to rally from three down at West Brom last week but fell to a 3-2 defeat.

    Middlesbrough v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

Neil Warnock and Michael Carrick on the touchline for Huddersfield and MiddlesbroughImage source, Getty Images

The Championship's bottom-two are in action at the Riverside this afternoon, as last season's play-off semi-finals Middlesbrough entertain a Huddersfield side saved from the drop last term by their wily coach Neil Warnock.

Neither side would have forseen this, particularly Boro who since Michael Carrick's arrival had enjoyed a honeymoon period and a half. Not this season though. Back-to-back defeats, notably a thrashing by Coventry, have sucked the momentum away.

However, 29-goal Chuba Akpom had not featured, amid injury and transfer speculation. His £10.5m move to Ajax this week has ended that circus and new arrivals Lukas Engel and Emmanuel Latte Lath have come in to add to the ranks.

Warnock's magic touch is something Boro fans have experienced themselves, and he will get a positive reception no doubt. His team have one advantage over the Teessiders in that they've managed a league goal this term. Mainz forward Delano Burgzorg has been brought in to improve that record.

That said, Boro did knock them out of the Carabao Cup, albeit with youthful looking sides.

Either way, someone could kickstart their season today.

    Sunderland v Rotherham (15:00 BST)

Bradley Dack ponders his next passImage source, Getty Images

Much like their fellow north easterners Middlesbrough, Sunderland have found the Championship a tough beast so far on the back of their play-off finish last term.

It was always going to be difficult after some key components were stripped out - Amad Diallo by his return to parent club Manchester United and while he failed to deliver goals, Joe Gelhardt's tireless running hopped it back to Leeds.

Ross Stewart, cruelly hampered by injury, remains absent and with it the bulk of their goalthreat. Their opening weekend loss to Ipswich highlighted their frailties in front of goal as they failed to take chances, while a narrow loss at Preston was a similar story. Bradley Dack finding his match sharpness would be timely.

Rotherham finally broke the promotion-relegation cycle last season with survival in the second tier, but with two red cards in as many games they'll need to fix the discipline if they're to further extend their stay.

Stoke blew them away 4-1 on the opening weekend but they were much better against Blackburn, leading 2-0 before Fred Onyedinma was dismissed and Rovers roared back.

    QPR v Ipswich (15:00 BST)

It's obviously outrageously early days but Ipswich fans will nevertheless be delighted to see their side top of the Championship after the past four seasons in the third tier.

Victories at Sunderland and at home to Stoke have given them the perfect start and they will fancy their chances of a third win at QPR today.

The Ipswich fans certainly think so with 3,000 of them making the trip to West London.

Rangers suffered a miserable 4-0 thrashing at Watford on the opening weekend but bounced back to at win at Cardiff last Saturday.

They have beaten Ipswich in each of their last six meetings at Loftus Road. 2010 was the last Suffolk triumph in Shepherd's Bush.

The trajectory of Birmingham City's season is currently moving with all the smoothness of a Tom Brady spiral to the end-zone, after a unbeaten start to the new Championship season.

Leeds were beaten late on in their last game in front of the watching Brady as part of new owners Shelby, after the Blues were only denied victory after Swansea conjured up an equaliser in the opener.

Another side in a 'new era' of sorts are Bristol City, following the departure of prodigious talent Alex Scott to Bournemouth for a £25m fee.

That exit didn't affect them at the Den last week, as Matty James' goal ensured victory over Millwall while only a late Will Keane leveller at Preston denied them a perfect start.

Nigel Pearson ruled out a "spending spree" if Scott's transfer brought in cash, so it's a good job the response has been positive...

    Leicester v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

    Stephy MavididiImage source, Getty Images

Leicester have made a bright start to life back in the Championship, which after their great highs of Premier League and FA Cup wins must have felt like waking up in a bus shelter after a heavy night out.

Still, they've dusted themselves down despite the exit of stars such as Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, and look to have unearthed some new talent to complement existing talent such as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho - notably in Stephy Mavididi.

So it will perhaps be with some trepidation as winless Cardiff City rock up at the King Power Stadium.

Boss Erol Bulut has sought to add numbers to the squad in former Trabsonspor midfielder Manolis Siopis and Arsenal keeper Alex Runarsson on loan.

Having let slip a lead against Leeds on the opening weekend, a sluggish display led to a surprise defeat by QPR last time out. They can ill-afford such a showing against the flying Foxes.

Southampton strike late then to snatch the south coast spoils over at Plymouth, and Wigan get the bragging rights over in the north west with a pummelling of previously 100% Bolton on their own patch.

It all tees us up nicely for the rest of Saturday's EFL action, and there's plenty to get through, starting with the Championship.

Charlie Wyke and Stephen Humphrys both scored twice as Wigan enjoyed a big away win over Bolton.

Bolton had a 100% record from four games in all competitions going into the game but were blown away by the Latics.

Wigan began the season on -8 points because of a points deduction but their fine start to the campaign has seen them win three and draw one of their opening four league matches.

That has seen them wipe out that deficit and cruise into positive points, moving up to 17th.

Bolton stay top for now, ahead of the 3pm kick-offs.
