Plymouth are undefeated through two home games already this season (including an EFL Cup tie) and they haven’t lost at Home Park since the beginning of April last season.

Their record in front of their home fans is incredible.

They only lost two league games at home last season, scoring 44 times and conceding just 16 in the process.

The game has calmed down in front of both goals at the minute.

Instead, we have some hacking and tumbling around midfield.

It's been fast and furious.

Not a lot of chances on goal, but the game in general has been high-quality, exciting and energetic.

As the game goes on the sides won't be able to keep up this tempo - it's impossible.

This is the first league meeting between Plymouth and Southampton since the 2010-11 season.

The last time the two sides met was at Home Park and the visitors won 3-1.

If Saints claim victory today it would be the first time they’ve won successive away league matches against the Pilgrims since April 1932.

Southampton on the counter-attack.

Sam Edozie on the far right side, feeds a low pass to Che Adams in the middle of the Plymouth box, who offloads another pass to Nathan Tella at the near post.

But he is off-balance and scuffs his shot on goal.

Bali Mumba is causing problems for Southampton.

The Plymouth full-back is so quick down the near left side.

With the ball at his feet, on the edge of the Saints box, he crosses over to get the ball onto his right foot and pops off a shot which is charged down by Saints defenders.

Here come Plymouth at the other end.

A dangerous cross is whipped in low from the near left side but there's no Argyle green shirts in the box to get on the end of it.

Southampton's captain Jack Stephens feeds a through ball to Adam Armstrong in a central position just eight yards outside the Plymouth box.

The striker runs on to the ball and fires a half volley on goal but it sails over.

Charlie Wyke has started the season in red-hot form and has his fourth goal in as many games to put Wigan ahead against Bolton in League One.

Both sides are defending unbeaten starts to the campaign and it's the Latics that have the upper hand early on.

Plymouth have won a couple of corners in the past minute and are putting a little pressure on Southampton now.
