On this bumper day of Championship action, our next stop once Leicester against Coventry is done and dusted will be Elland Road, where we will see how another of the relegated Premier League clubs fare on their return to the Championship.

Leeds United start life under Daniel Farke with a game against Cardiff City, who are expected to include Wales captain Aaron Ramsey following his summer move from Nice.

Cardiff also have a new manager in Erol Bulut, the former Fenerbahce boss who will get his first taste of English football this afternoon.

The Bluebirds are looking for a significant improvement on last season's struggle to avoid relegation from the Championship, while a positive start would be welcome for Farke's Leeds as they look to readjust to life in the second tier.

I've been really impressed with the way the ball has been moved from the backline through midfield. I would give that nine out of 10.

But it's not quite razor sharp in and around the 18-yard box, otherwise we'd be leading the game.

I understand the way of playing is risky football. It's exciting when you've got the ball, but it's heart-and-mouth moments if you lose it.

We're all going to have to get used to that.

The best opening comes right on the whistle!

Ricardo Pereira slips a wonderful ball inside the Coventry left-back and Kasey McAteer is in on the angle.

He makes decent connection with his shot but straight at Ben Wilson at his near post.

It's been decent fare this for my money.

Leicester have enjoyed by far the majority of possession but the away side look a real threat on the break.

Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen is REALLY not enjoying these Gustavo Hamer corners.

Twice now he's sent deep ones over the Dane's head to the back stick.

Leicester blood bodies forward but if you give the ball away, you are open to transitions against you.

Coventry look a threat at the minute.

Just the one minute added on at the end of the half.

I did say the ball had barely been out of play.

Coventry ending the half on top as Leicester are forced into a couple of big blocks.

Stephy Mavididi is released down the home side's left and his low cross nearly breaks perfectly for Wout Faes, who has marauded forward from the back.

Leicester have got a heck of a bench today.

Forwards Patson Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho are both amongst the subs. Pretty decent options to have in reserve at any level, never mind the second tier.

The home side win a free-kick about 22 yards from goal.

No more James Maddison for them of course.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is given the honours but his left-footed effort is straight into the wall.

But, other than that, nothing much so far to detain the reader - and stop me being distracted by a text query from my wife about this morning's online supermarket collection order.

There's been a lot of talk about how much time is being added on with the new guidelines.

Not sure that'll be too much of an issue with this match. The ball's barely been out of play.

Coventry defender Bobby Thomas charges forward and the ball bounces back his way in the area.

What is happening at this football club? We are making first contact at corners!

We are seeing things that we wanted to see for the last 18 months, two years.

A goal would make this place erupt.

Close to the opener for the home side!

Former Sky Blues loanee Callum Doyle gets on a deep corner and Ben Wilson has to shovel it away from his near post.

Coventry might not have seen much of the ball but they're right in this.

Kasey Palmer picks the ball up about 30 yards out and gets away a well-hit shot that Mads Hermansen tips over.

The referee doesn't see it that way though. No corner.

As Matt Piper has just said, Leicester really are monopolising possession here.

It's passing with intent though and the home fans are enjoying what they are seeing.

You have to be patient with this style of play. Enzo Maresca is liking what he is seeing, with some huge claps above his head.

Most recent stats have this as Leicester with about 67% of possession so far.

Have to say, it has felt like more than that.

They'll know Coventry will pose a major threat on the counter though and they're yet to really worry the away side.

Nicholas Walker: Leicester have similar issues to what Tottenham have. A dominant centre forward who gets marked out of the game so it's left to others to step up. Can they do it?
