When you have a player as good as Caicedo, it is about producing those magical moments when it matters. And she has.

What a moment for her personally.

The corner is a decent one but a German head gets there first to clear.

Linda Caicedo is causing Germany all sorts of bother now. She almost steers a ball into a team-mate's path in the box but Germany's defence responds to clear for a corner.

And now we have a first yellow card as Lena Oberdorf leaves one on the freshly-introduced Leicy Santos.

Colombia follow up taking the lead by making their first change. On comes Leicy Santos for Lady Andrade in midfield.

We've got a game on our hands now.

Germany are not used to losing games, especially not World Cup group games.

Caicedo is the first to react.

Colombia have done well to get themselves into attacking areas in recent minutes.

Then it is down to the quick feet of Caicedo, gets past Dabritz and what a strike!

She's spent the majority of the game doing her bit for the team, and wow has she taken the chance to work her magic there!

Mayra Ramirez is a tough cookie up top for Colombia. She gathers the ball and sets off, with Germany players unable to get a boot in. Eventually, a player in white and black gets the ball away from her and behind.

Colombia's first charge forward of the half sees Mayra Ramirez find Linda Caicedo on the right side of the box but her control lets her down and the ball dribbles out of play.

Germany pressing. They move the ball well to release Klara Buehl on the left but her effort from the edge of the box is deflected wide.

The resulting corner causes a few moments of panic in the Colombia defence before the ball is hacked desperately away.

I think Colombia are doing great and winning the tactical battle.

If they can keep the score level until the last 15 minutes then they have players that can get them a goal.
