Whoever is on drum duty at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, they must have incredible arm muscles. They have barely stopped all night.

There is a relaxed mood among the Australia fans. They know their girls are in command.

Nigeria's Christy Ucheibe shoots well wide from distance. They have 10 minutes left to try to avoid a (potential) last-16 tie with one of the favourites England.

In Melbourne things have slowed right down. Australia have this victory wrapped up with 17 minutes to go.

So, as things stand, Australia are heading through as group winners with Nigeria advancing in second.

If Nigeria beat the Republic of Ireland they'll top the group.

Katie McCabe shoots from this corner (I think), like she did in the last game, with a proper inswinger but it lands onto the roof of the net.

Canada really haven't made the most of their set pieces today, their corner deliveries particularly have lacked real quality.

They've only had one shot on target in the whole game [from Rose], the first real save Mackenzie Arnold had to make.

Australia's Emily van Egmond is shown a yellow card for standing on the ball and deliberately delaying a Canadian free-kick.

Ireland have a corner with 15 minutes to go. How they'd love to end this World Cup with a win.

Canada aren't quite done yet. They have a rare break forward with the ball shipped out to Deanna Rose, but the substitute's driven shot across goal is kept out by the legs of Mackenzie Arnold.

Adriana Leon has had to go off for a suspected concussion, in line with the Fifa protocols. It means Canada get an extra substitution.

Losing Leon is another blow. No player has scored more goals for Canada during Bev Priestman's reign.

Nigeria have a couple of shots blocked in a scramble.

I wonder if they're aware of the other score.

They can take some risks to try to win and get top spot... if they know the other game has given them a buffer that they can afford to lose.

Switch for Canada. Adriana Leon limps off and is replaced by Evelyne Viens.
