Tougher tests to come for France but no one on this side of the draw has looked in great form so all to play for. Japan and the Netherlands have to be fancied for the trophy

Finally something I said has come true!
This is what we want, goals and excitement.
Looking forward to the second half, and hopefully more goals!
France 3-0 Morocco
This was billed as potentially an almighty shock. France snuffed that out in 23 minutes.

France happy to just dictate the tempo now.
Plenty of easy release passes between defence and midfield.
France 3-0 Morocco
Another mix up by Morocco at the back almost leads to another goal. A poor clearance hits Eugenie Le Sommer and deflects to Kadidiatou Diani, who nods the ball past the keeper but can't finish.
Ah... the flag was up regardless, so it wouldn't have counted.
France 3-0 Morocco
We'll have three added minutes. Morocco are still chasing shadows.

Top players want to be at their best level in every moment.
Every movement, every shot, every pass. Dali's small frustration there, that just shows their [France's] mentality.
France 3-0 Morocco
Herve Renard's side lead 3-0 but he's still on his feet demanding more, setting standards.
France 3-0 Morocco
Selma Bacha gets in behind the Morocco defence down the right but her cross is cleared. Sandie Toletti hits a shot from outside the box and she's not far off.
This is so tough on Morocco. They're heavily outclassed and you suspect it's only going to get worse for them, unless France really ease off.
France 3-0 Morocco
France are sniffing another goal but a pass towards Kadidiatou Diani and Eugenie Le Sommer is too heavy, allowing Khadija Er-Rmichi to claim.

Morocco can play better, particularly in possession.
It feels like they are playing within themselves, a bit nervy. When players get the ball it seems like they want to get rid of it.
France 3-0 Morocco
France don't need to exert themselves now. They're stroking the ball around with ease, holding Morocco at arm's length. Job done.

Anon: There was always going to be *one game too many* for Morocco, and it's already come a bit more quickly than they might have liked ...
Mark: Ridiculous play by the Morocco defenders. Congratulations to France. This game is done.
How on earth did Morocco get out of their group?!

France 3-0 Morocco
Feels a long time ago, but here is France's opening goal...
France 3-0 Morocco
You have to feel for Morocco front two Anissa Lahmari and Ibtissam Jraidi. They're making runs but they're not being found. Not even close.
France 3-0 Morocco
Eugenie Le Sommer is clattered in midfield by Morocco captain Ghizlane Chebbak. It's a clear foul, but no yellow from the ref.
Morocco are doing well to get anywhere near the French players at the moment.

This is a really tough task for Morocco.
They are playing in a traditional 4-4-2, and the gaps between the lines are getting bigger and bigger.
And with Le Sommer dropping into the pockets, in that false nine position, she is so hard to defend.
France 3-0 Morocco
Not a touch for Morocco yet in the France box. They've not even got close.
France 3-0 Morocco
For a moment, it looks like Morocco might have an opening, but Ibtissam Jraidi's pass is cut out by Wendie Renard. Door slammed shut.
