This is what happens when you play a team like France, they have the quality up front to punish every mistake.

El Chad really needs to get across to Diani, get the ball cleared. Put it out for a corner or a throw in, anything.

Instead she tries to stay on it and find a pass, is dispossessed and Le Sommer capitalises.

With a tournament as wide open as this now, France's display here is ominous for the other seven sides left.

Morocco never really responded to the first goal. It was a clear hammer blow to them and they were unable to stage anything positive afterwards.

They're slipping out of this event.

Delightful play from France.

Renard drops the ball into Dali, who flicks the ball into the channel for Diani.

Diani then tracks her run to pull the ball back, and Dali sweeps it into the net via the post.

Diani is certainly on the run for the Golden Boot.

You can see that France are targeting that Morocco left hand side, Karchaoui and Almeida combining to create an overload.

The full back gets isolated and the ball from Karchaoui is wonderful.

Diani is there in the six yard box to take advantage.

Diani has now contributed to goals in her last three games in the Women's World Cup (4 goals, 1 assist).

Morocco need to get their heads clear quickly here. An early goal is a big blow, but they have to stay in the game.

Elodie Nakkach flies into a tackle to try and win the ball and takes her French opponent down too.

Not long after, Sakina Karchaoui's cross from the right is punched away by Morocco keeper Khadija Er-Rmichi on the dive.

Must be a bit chilly in Adelaide tonight as a few on the Morocco bench are well wrapped up. Big coats on, blankets up to the chin.

France continue to see much more of the ball. It needs a good interception from Sakina Karchaoui to stop Morocco breaking, though.

Morocco will be looking to make things very difficult for France.

Keeping their shape very rigid, and most likely looking to spring onto the counter attack and use those transitions.

France are looking to stamp early authority on this.

A second attack ends with Kenza Dali hammering an effort over the bar from about 15 yards out on an angle.

They win the ball back in their own half and some cool passing from Nouhaila Benzina helps them work the ball wide right. The attack fizzles out, though.

On paper when you look at the sides France are the far superior team. Players with plenty of experience in the likes of Renard and Le Sommer.

But lots of credit to Morocco, after that heavy defeat to Germany, to learn and develop performances shows incredible will to keep improving.

France are the first side driving forward.

The direct and quick Kenza Dali of Aston Villa sends over a low ball and it is gathered by a team-mate in the box, who can't keep it in.

Dali had more assists than any other player in WSL last season.
