GOAL - Japan 0-1 Swedenpublished at 32 mins

    Amanda Ilestedt

Sweden have the opener and centre-back Amanda Ilestedt has her fourth goal of the tournament.

Kosovare Asllani's free-kick was initially punched away by Ayaka Yamashita, but a few blocked shots from Magdalena Eriksson eventually find a way through and Ilestedt is there and ready to pounce for an easy finish.

Just a fraction over the head of Hina Sugita at the back post.

Japan will know that no matter whether they have a lot of possession or not, they can score a goal with one chance.

Now it's Japan's turn at the other end of the pitch.

Risa Shimizu travels into the box and does well to get the cross in.

Hina Sugita can't get her head on it and it floats over to Hinata Miyazawa, but the Golden Boot leader can't get her shot from a tough angle on target.

It's been a tense start and that chance falling to Stina Blackstenius was the first serious attempt of the game. Not that either side need many chances to score. In their past two games, Japan have found the net on seven occasions from just nine attempts on target, while Sweden had three attempts in the group win against Argentina and scored twice.

Stina Blackstenius shoulders off Saki Kumagai, does brilliantly well to get ahead of her and that is the biggest of let offs for Japan.

Blackstenius should have buried that, went with the outside of her right foot when she really just needed to go across the keeper.

    Japan 0-0 Sweden

How has Stina Blackstenius not scored?

She gets the better of Saki Kumagai, who is left scrambling, but her strike from close range with the outside of her boot goes wide.

Sweden should be 1-0 up. A massive opportunity missed.

Stina Blackstenius in that nine position has barely touched the ball so Japan are doing an excellent job defensively.

Sweden have not allowed Japan to get into any sort of rhythm, they have been deadly when they have been allowed.

    Good start from the Swedes.

Japan have zero yellow cards in this tournament so far, Sweden may add to their tally.

Plenty of attacking play so far, particularly from Sweden, but we're yet to have an attempt on goal.

Sweden can be dogged, we saw that in the game against USA.

They've showed a lot in the attacking third so far which could scare Japan.

Oooh. Japan came close to getting through on goal there as Mina Tanaka tried to thread the ball through the Sweden defence.

Amanda Ilestedt comes to the rescue with an outstretched leg.

A good number of Sweden's goals at this tournament have come from corners. That was disappointing by Jonna Andersson.

Stina Blackstenius earns Sweden a corner and gives them a chance to get their goalscoring centre-backs up into the box.

But they're forced to retreat back to defence as Jonna Andersson's corner is whipped out of play.

That was pretty cynical. I'm surprised not to see a yellow card for Filippa Angeldahl. She got away with one.

Filippa Angeldal clips Mina Tanaka, who was breaking quickly through the middle of the pitch, to give Japan a free-kick in a decent area.

A training ground move follows and Sweden are able to clear it from danger with ease.

Sweden are looking good down this right hand side. Johanna Kaneryd has plenty of space.

That's two crosses they've been able to get into the Japanese box within the first 10 minutes, but they haven't been able find a Swedish head to direct it towards goal.

Sweden are looking to get the ball across and wide to try and utilise the most of the height advantage in the middle.

    Japan 0-0 Sweden

    Jonas Eidevall
    Arsenal manager on BBC One

Zecira Musovic has worked for many years for this moment and this tournament.

She's been taking her chances, she's been gritty and it was really enjoyable to see her have such a good moment like she did against the USA.

Now it's all about consistency. One time is really good but if they want to go all the way in the tournament, they need to repeat that.

Sweden have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three games at the Women’s World Cup, and will be looking to do so in four in a row in the competition for the first time.

Goalkeeper Zecira Musovic was superb against the USA last time out - her 11 saves was a single-game record at the Women’s World Cup for a keeper that kept a clean sheet.

Will we see more heroics from her today?

    Japan 0-0 Sweden

Japan have only conceded five corners throughout this tournament so if that is the only tactic for the Swedes, they'll be left wanting.

But perennial semi finalists and silver medallists in the Olympics, Sweden they'll be desperate to go all the way.
