  1. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Katie McCabe drives forward and gets a shot away close to the byeline but it flashes across the face of goal.

Her goal against Aston Villa last week came from a similar position, but this one didn't quite find its way into the back of the net.

    No hat-trick...yet.

The Arsenal players look like they've still got so much energy to give, like they could go up a few gears. I want to see that now in the closing minutes.

I expect we'll have some added time with the substitutions and that's normally when they come alive.

  3. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90+1 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

We'll have nine minutes of added time. NINE. I actually have no idea where that has come from.

Looks like Alessia Russo is fine to continue after a quick check from the docs.

  7. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

    Ouch.

Alessia Russo is down with a head injury. Looks like it was the ball that hit her in the back of the head.

  8. 'Clark has bright future'published at 20:27 British Summer Time 22 October 2023

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

    Jenna Schillaci
Former Spurs captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It has been a good performance from Olivia Clark in goal today, really confident. I think that the save at her near post early in the first half gave her some confidence and she's made some big saves. She looks really comfortable out there, she's commanding that area.

She's a young keeper and she looks like she's got a bright future ahead of her.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 84 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Rachel Furness is the latest to go into the referee's book for a late challenge on Lia Walti.

  10. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Alessia Russo puts the burners on down the right-hand side and looks to get the cross in but there's a good block at the near post.

It was a beautiful ball! I actually thought McCabe was going to take it first time but she laid it off to Beth Mead and she just couldn't connect with enough power to trouble Olivia Clark.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Amalie Thestrup and Amy Rodgers make way for Emily Syme and Shania Hayles.

Can some fresh legs get Bristol City back into this?

Alessia Russo goes into the book for kicking out at Amalie Thestrup.

  14. Postpublished at 77 mins

Could Vivianne Miedema be making her first appearance for Arsenal since that ACL injury 11 months ago?

She's currently warming up on the touchline.

  15. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Beth Mead has another chance to get on the score sheet as Alessia Russo cuts it back but the forward can't quite put the power on the shot and Olivia Clark smothers.

Another change for Bristol City. Carrie Jones makes way for Mari Ward.

  17. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Beth Mead almost with the instant impact as she gets a decent header on Katie McCabe's cross to the far post but it's inches wide.

It's a good point, I bet Manuela Zinsberger is a bit chilly in the Arsenal goal.

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

    Jenna Schillaci

It's been all Arsenal hasn't it [in the second half]. I think Bristol have struggled to get out of their own half.

Zinsberger, I forgot she was there to be honest!

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Here we go then, Jonas Eidevall sends on Beth Mead and Frida Maanum.

Victoria Pelova and Laia Codina make way.

There was an enormous cheer as Mead made her way onto the pitch and I think that tells you something about the amount of Arsenal fans that have made the journey up to Ashton Gate this evening.
