    Bristol City 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal have had 12 corners in this match so far. TWELVE.

For a team like Bristol City that have conceded quite a few goals from set pieces, it's not ideal.

Arsenal have another corner and the referee is just having a little word with Alessia Russo and Megan Connolly for a bit too much pushing and shoving in the box.

Bristol switched off. McCabe again, this time from inside the box. I think she cushions it down, sets herself up and volleys it home.

I thought Clark may have done a bit better but there was some power behind that shot.

    McCabe again - on fire.

That's Katie McCabe's second goal of the match and third of the season.

    Some form, she's in.

    Katie McCabe (58 mins)

Well, you can't say it hasn't been coming.

Bristol City can't clear the corner and Katie McCabe is arriving into the the area, once again unmarked. She lets fly and there's only going to be one outcome when you see her hit a strike that sweetly.

It actually takes an unfortunate little deflection off Brooke Aspin which just completely wrong-foots Olivia Clark and she can't get near it.

Wow, how did they not score there? Olivia Clark excellent, makes the first save, makes the second save and the block from the defender I think it was Megan Cononolly.

A real captain's performance there in the backline but that'll give Bristol so much confidence.

Arsenal should have scored and Bristol survive.

Arsenal with the bit between their teeth, now.

Lotte Wubben-Moy sends one in but it's cleared by a red shirt.

Katie McCabe has a go from range but it's well-saved low down to Olivia Clark's left.

  9. CLOSE!published at 53 mins

    Bristol City 1-1 Arsenal

    How have Arsenal not scored?!

Brilliant last-ditch defending from Bristol City.

First, the shot comes in from Victoria Pelova and Olivia Clark can only palm it away into the path of Alessia Russo.

She saves from the England forward then Noelle Maritz has a go but misses.

Caitlin Foord keeps it alive but another great stop from Clark and it's eventually cleared.

    Chaos!

    Here we go.

Looks like Beth Mead and Frida Maanum have been told to go and warm up for Arsenal. They're not bad options to bring off the bench, are they.

We've seen last season and time and time before that you can't drop too many points in this league if you want to be winning that trophy or getting that Champions League spot.

They'll have identified this as a must-win - they can't afford to slip up tonight.

Bristol City have started this second half much the same as the first one ended. Defending really well.

Arsenal just patiently looking for an opening.

    HT: Bristol City 1-1 Arsenal

It's worth noting that at half-time against Manchester City last week, Bristol City were 5-0 down.

This has been a much better performance from them defensively and they've managed to create opportunities of their own, too.

Even just a point against Arsenal would lift them off the bottom of the WSL with Aston Villa having lost all four of their matches so far.

Once City conceded so early on you felt it might go the same way as last week but I've got nothing but pride in this Bristol team to fight back and get themselves back into it.

I think they've been very resilient in their defending and brave in their attack - they've caused Arsenal problems.

Arsenal will be disappointed they haven't kicked on, they have created but again deliveries haven't been there. The quality just hasn't been there.

Bristol City right in this and could earn their first points of the season if they can hold on.
