Lauren James picks up the ball from Chloe Kelly and hits her shot high towards the corner of the net.
She forces Cata Coll into a good save at her near post but I'm not sure if she had just strayed offside anyway.

Lucy Bronze lashes an effort from range but it sails over the bar. It's not quite that desperate just yet.

Well, about that shirt, Damo.
I have a feeling many people will have something to say about the fact that you can't currently get an England shirt with Mary Earps' name on.

Soft penalty but oh my gosh Mary… is this the moment?? Is this going to galvanise the team to make a comeback?

What a fantastic save from Earps.
She will have known where Hermoso was going to go, she will have researched it before this game.
Went early and got a clean catch on it.

What save, every adulation. She guessed right, did her homework.
It was not the perfect penalty from Jenni Hermoso and Mary Earps took full advantage.
What a save, what a moment.
You've got to enjoy these moments, your team are still in it.

Bit shaky at the back there as England look to get straight on the counter. Cata Coll looks uncomfortable with the ball at her feet and Lauren Hemp puts her under pressure.
That penalty save has given the crowd something to cheer about.

If I was an England player and it was Spain in this situation, I would have been crying for it to be given as a penalty.

Peter: It pains me to say it but it's a handball all day long.
Jack: As unlucky as it is the arm is stuck out, and other way round England would be aggrieved if it wasn't given. Blatant penalty.

Lucy Bronze is having a word with the referee as Jenni Hermoso lines the penalty up and Spain players surround them all.

Well after a good long look, the referee announces Spain have a penalty. La Roja have a chance to double their lead.

Oh it's close but in this modern day, it looks like bad news for England.
There's a clear brush of the hand but it's not intentional and her arm is not in an 'unnatural position' We're seeing every angle, the referee isn't convinced.

It looked like there was a change of direction for me from Walsh towards the ball, but it seemed like that came because she was trying to move her feet.
She wasn't trying to make her body bigger, but ultimately her fingers did touch the ball.
