Spain 1-0 England
Spain have a corner and it's a bit of a shocker from Ona Batlle.
Don't see that happen very often but Mary Earps will gladly accept the goal kick and the chance to get the ball away from her goal.

That was full length from Mary Earps, what a save. Earps has to deal with the precision of the ball and also the bounce of the ball.
She sees it late and deals with it brilliantly. That was going in.

Mariona Caldentey had Lucy Bronze on toast there.

Chloe Kelly did well defensively but then gives it away right on the edge of the penalty area.
Mariona Caldentey plays it straight through the legs of Lucy Bronze to find Aitana Bonmati. Caldentey sprints across to get in a shooting position and fires off a super shot with her right foot.
Mary Earps called into action again, full stretch down to her left. What a save.

This is the Plan B. Sarina Wiegman switches to a back four, which England have played for the majority of her tenure.
It means Jess Carter has moved to left-back, with Lauren James going out wide and Lauren Hemp through the middle.

It was Spain's first half.
England will be very frustrated with that first half, and they don't have very long to get themselves sorted out at the break.
There's a few England players that look like they are struggling a bit, whether that be cramp or fatigue I'm not sure. I'm expecting changes to come soon if things don't improve.
I'm sure Sarina Wiegman will have some key messages for the team at half time.
Spain 1-0 England
It's two big, bold changes from Sarina Wiegman.
They have also gone from a back five to a back four.

We're back under way.
Confirmation that Lauren James is coming on. Chloe Kelly is also arriving. Sarina Wiegman has gone early here.
Two players for the big occasion.
Alessia Russo and Rachel Daly are off. Wow.

Does Walsh know how to pass the ball forward? Toone not in the game at all. Crying out for James to come on.
Tony, Buckingham
Blimey! What a match. I think Lauren James will give us the finals. Unleash her in the second half and England will win the World Cup. It’s a dicey situation.

Russo and Hemp looking isolated, Toone pretty anonymous. If Serena wants to stick with a back 5, LJ needs to come on to carry the ball and get the wing backs further up. England still in this!

On Spain's goal...
This one kills me as everyone knows how much I love Lucy Bronze. You can't give the ball away in that area of the pitch and they overloaded us down that side. It's a great finish but it comes from that mistake.
Spain are so intelligent, they know how to pick the right pass and overload the right areas.
Lucy Bronze has appeared in big moments and her team need her in the second half.
England should not feel sorry for themselves. With this performance England have still managed to create huge chances in this game. England have been in this position before and it's about regrouping and know what's coming up.

Lucy Bronze is leaving space meaning that Alessia Russo has run 60 yards to try and defend and she does not need to be there.
Bronze needs to give the ball quicker and not run into midfield. She needs to be smarter. We need a big big performance in the next 45 now.

We all know Spain are comfortable on the ball and they would have possession, it's what do England do when they get it back?
Spain's footballing intelligence is what is killing this team. When England get the ball we need to do more to hold up the ball.

Here are some of the highlights from that very entertaining first half.
England will have to come from behind to win.

For England the wing backs' roles needs to be discussed.
We're getting outnumbered in the wide areas and the attacking outlet is not their either.
They are just relieving pressure at the moment instead of helping England sustain pressure and mount attacks.

England need to be ok with suffering and being uncomfortable. Spain are going to possess the ball and we need to be able to hold the ball for longer.
We need to move it around and recycle it and then hopefully space will appear for England's ball players to get on the ball.

There were some angry faces heading down the tunnel at half time as Mary Earps stormed straight down, passing Lucy Bronze and a few others on the way.
She was deep in conversation with Jess Carter by the time they went through, while Bronze, clearly frustrated lagged behind at the back.
They have been here before, it won't concern them, but Sarina Wiegman needs to set out Plan B because Plan A hasn't worked.

I remember being this worried last summer too. Come on England, you can do this!

Don’t see myself as the Pep of West Yorkshire but do we not need to stop their wide players running around the outside of our three centre backs?

Stay cool England. We’re in our PJs watching from NZ and having seen Spain twice during the tournament they're a great side but goals haven’t been easy for them. We have got this, stay cool Lionesses!

It started off very well but I think Spain are causing a lot of problems for England in the midfield.
Either Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo need to drop and be part of the midfield.
