Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes Alexis Mac Allister's red card should be rescinded, arguing his side had been "punished enough" by the dismissal.
The 24-year-old Argentina midfielder, who joined in a £35m summer move from Brighton, was sent off after 58 minutes of the 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.
Mac Allister faces a three-game suspension after he clipped the foot of Ryan Christie and was shown a red card.
"It's harsh, this shouldn't have been a red card," said Klopp.
"It's a mistake and the punishment of playing 40 minutes with 10 men is already punishment enough. We have to talk to the authorities.
"There was contact but there is contact in a game all the time. If he gives a yellow card nobody would say, 'by the way you need to have another look at that'.
"The amount of times I've already been asked about it shows it is worth discussing again, which we will probably do.
"I asked Macca and he said 'he touched him, but not really'. If we have a list of points of what you need to give a red card, besides contact there's no other box ticked."

Ange Postecoglou stood arms folded looking into the vast expanse of the South Stand at Tottenham Hotspur's stadium with the satisfied smile of a manager reflecting on a job well done.
The Australian cut a low-key figure in his dark polo shirt throughout a thrilling 2-0 Spurs victory over Manchester United, twice shedding his calm demeanour to raise both arms in triumph for the goals.
Postecoglou was happy to let the Spurs players who had delivered his mantra of all-out attacking football with such intent take the acclaim after their desire and quality eventually overpowered a mediocre Manchester United.
Eventually, he broke into a broad smile as the Tottenham fans who treated this as a feast following the famine and stodge served up by predecessors Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte saluted their new manager, Postecoglou moving towards the supporters before quietly pumping his fists in the direction of the elated gallery.
This was a landmark day in so many respects.

So much of Everton's season hinges around keeping striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the pitch and out of the treatment room.
The Englishman has managed only four goals since August 2021 and scored just two in the entirety of last season.
With Neal Maupay out of form and new teenage striker Youssef Chermiti not yet ready for the rigours of the Premier League, the onus is on Calvert-Lewin to contribute in front of goal.
The Toffees are undoubtedly a much better side with him in it, but you tend to flinch everytime he makes a sprint.
Having finished 90 minutes just once since January, the big question is whether he can stay fit this term.

Jack Harrison is keen to "show Everton fans what I've got" and wants to help the club be successful.
The winger arrived on loan from Leeds on Monday, but is currently unavailable with a minor hip injury.
After making the move, Harrison told evertontv: "It’s a massive club. I remember coming to Goodison Park and it was always so difficult because of the fans and the great atmosphere that the people bring for Everton so I’m excited to be on the other side of that and a part of it, and to hopefully bring something they can cheer about as well.
"I like to work hard, it’s part of who I am. I think that fits in well with the characteristics of an Evertonian.
"I also like to think I have talent in the attacking end as well so showing what I can do on the pitch, combining with teammates, creating chances, and hopefully scoring and assisting to help the team.
"I’ll be doing everything I can to help Everton be successful and to show Everton fans what I’ve got."

Everton manager Sean Dyche speaking to Sky Sports pre-match:
"It was a good performance (last week against Fulham), statistically too which shows a good pre-season. We want to take that into today's game and keep standards high.
"It is tweaking, but when you create that many chances it's a good building block. That's the message. When you make chances it's a building block. We have to take that mentality on the road too, that ability to keep making chances
"We only lost one in the last seven away from home last season so there's some sort of life in that. But we have to make sure we take that into this season, particularly here today."
On the returning Dominic Calvert-Lewin:
"We wanted to guarantee the best we could at the end of his rehab but you never truly know until he's out there. He's done well in training and had had a few 45's in friendlies and a 90 in the week. Thing have aligned quite well. He has to build that true match fitness which he can only do out here."
On opponents Aston Villa who lost 5-1 to Newcastle in their Premier League opener last weekend:
"We've got to focus on ourselves, they will be looking for a reaction. Until Mings went off they were right in it and Newcastle are a very decent team."

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a very good professional. He puts his body on the line and he kept breaking down.
He is always the answer but it is keeping his fit. When you lose him you have to change your style a little bit.

Aston Villa
Unai Emery speaking to Sky Sports before the game:
"We have to keep going and we have analysed [Last week's performance against Newcastle United].
"We need to give our best performance and with support at home it is special for us, we need full energy and positive energy.
"We have to try to be tactical the way we did last year with some new players and we have to try to be stronger."
On new players joining the team:
"We are starting to build a team with the players in the squad we are trying to be stronger all together and feel good.
"A new season and a new chapter, we have to remember everything we did well and we have to write a new history and we have to have good football."

The positive is for Everton, chances are being created. There are goals in the team, but it the confidence that builds with it. Dominic Calvert-Lewin offers a focal point but it doesn't take pressure off the rest of the team.
They've all got to contribute.

Aston Villa are short at the moment. They have to not panic and Unai Emery has done that, playing the same team as last week.
They will get better but it was tough at Newcastle. I expected a tight game but they were blown away. It is important they start well today.
Aston Villa v Everton (14:00 BST)
Aston Villa's Tyrone Mings is "a fighter" and will "come back stronger" from the serious injury he suffered on the opening day of the season, according to Newcastle striker Callum Wilson.
England international Mings faces a "lengthy rehabilitation process" after sustaining a "significant" knee injury in Villa's 5-1 loss to the Magpies.
"He's a friend of mine and it's disappointing," said Wilson, who has been a team-mate of Mings with Bournemouth and England, on the Footballer's Football Podcast.
"I've spoken to him, he's very positive. He's a fighter, he's been out before and he'll be back again.
"It's unfortunate, I've been there twice, he's been there once before and he's there again. It's a dark place but you need everybody around you and he'll come back stronger than ever I'm sure."
West Ham v Chelsea (16:30 BST)
Chris Sutton's opponent for this weekend's fixtures is DJ and producer Anish Kumar, who is a Newcastle fan.
I really feel for West Ham boss David Moyes because of the way the Hammers have gone about their transfer business this summer. Now there is the possibility of losing Lucas Paqueta to Manchester City too, which hardly helps.
Chelsea were very good in the second half against Liverpool last weekend and they will be even better if Moises Caicedo goes straight into their team, to partner Enzo Fernandez in the centre of midfield.
You can see what Mauricio Pochettino is trying to do with Chelsea and they are a better team, with better players, than West Ham. Even though they are still fitting together as a team, that will be reflected in the result.
It's putting the ball in the net that I think could still be Chelsea's biggest problem, especially in the short-term. Nicolas Jackson looks lively up front, but can he step up with the goals they need?
West Ham will sit in and counter, but I am backing Chelsea to have a little bit too much quality.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Anish's prediction: Chelsea will be an interesting watch this year with so many comings and goings. West Ham have had a difficult transfer window, losing Declan Rice and struggling to bring in players. 0-2
West Ham v Chelsea (16:30 BST)
It could be a day of debuts later this afternoon when West Ham take on Chelsea.
The Hammers could hand first starts to new signings Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse while both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia are available to make their debuts for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
It is heartbreak for England as they lose 1-0 to Spain in the Women's World Cup final.

Aston Villa make one change from the side that were thrashed 5-1 by Newcastle last weekend.
It's an enforced one with Tyrone Mings, who is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, replaced by summer signing Pau Torres, who makes his full debut.
Lucas Digne makes the 300th league appearance of his career against his former side.
Villa XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne, Kamara, Luiz, Bailey, McGinn, Diaby, Watkins.
Everton also make one change from the 1-0 home defeat by Fulham in their season opener and it is a significant one.
Sean Dyche is given a huge boost with the news that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fit to start and leads the line in place of the out-of-form Neal Maupay.
New signing Ashley Young plays against his old club, having left them in the summer, while goalkeeper Jordan Pickford makes his 250th Premier League appearance.
Everton XI: Pickford, Patterson, Keane, Tarkowski, Young, Garner, Gueye, Onana, Iwobi, Doucoure, Calvert-Lewin.
Aston Villa v Everton (14:00 BST)
It is blatantly clear Everton need more firepower, could Dominic Calvert-Lewin be back to start today?
We will find out in a couple of minutes...
Aston Villa v Everton (14:30 BST)
Chris Sutton's opponent for this weekend's fixtures is DJ and producer Anish Kumar, who is a Newcastle fan.
A lot of people got very excited about Aston Villa this season after what we saw from them following Unai Emery's arrival - but injuries to Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings, and their heavy defeat at Newcastle, have taken the shine off things a little.
Everton have bigger problems, however. In many ways, it is the same old story in that they played well against Fulham but could not take their chances and ended up losing.
Nothing has changed, because so much depends on whether Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fit to lead the Toffees' attack in this game.
If he is, Everton have got a chance. Without him, they are in trouble because Neal Maupay's confidence looks shot to bits.
I don't think this will be straightforward for Villa by any means, but the fact that Everton can't score obviously helps them a lot.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Anish's prediction: I'm very excited to see Villa this year, with Diego Carlos back from injury, plus Pau Torres and Moussa Diaby joining what was already an amazing side. It's a shame that Buendia and Mings are injured, but they will still be too strong for an Everton team who don't seemed to have improved just yet. I still think Villa will shock a lot of people this year under Emery. 4-0

Lionesses fever has hit the country and this was the scene three hours before kick-off at Villa Park as fans packed in to watch England v Spain in the Women's World Cup final on a big screen.
But there's a Premier League game to be played too between two sides who began the season in disappointing fashion with defeats.
Aston Villa were outplayed in their thrashing at Newcastle and Everton somehow conspired to be beaten 1-0 at home by Fulham having missed a host of chances.
With Unai Emery's side in European action this season, their league form as a whole may suffer, while Everton are yet to bring in a reliable goalscorer so it may be another season of suffering if they are unable to find the net on a regular basis.
Can they ripple the onion back in the Midlands this afternoon?
