Bournemouth have only taken two points from eight Premier League matches since a 4-1 home victory against Leeds United in April.

They can equal the club Premier League record of nine successive games without a win, set from February to July 2020.

The Cherries have not gone five league fixtures without a win from the beginning of a season since 2008-09, when they were in League Two.

Andoni Iraola can become the second Spanish manager to remain winless in each of his first five Premier League fixtures, emulating Pepe Mel at West Brom in 2014.

In the hazy glow of his first serious transfer spree as Everton's major shareholder, Farhad Moshiri declared he wanted the club to be a monument to success and not "a museum".

As the businessman who bought a 49.9% stake in Everton in February 2016 announces the sale of his now 94.1% shareholding to American investment fund 777 Partners, it is more akin, in football and financial terms, to a badly preserved graveyard.

Moshiri, if the deal moves successfully through to completion, leaves Everton in arguably the most parlous and dysfunctional state in their 145-year history.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino: "The objective for Chelsea is always to be involved in European competitions.

"That is not in my hands now, that is the reality and the only thing in our hands now is to work hard and try and be involved next season and for sure we are going to be involved in European competition next season.

"I want to win, we need to win and the players need to feel that the pressure is from ourselves.

"It is still too early to give up and say we are not going to achieve what we want to achieve."

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin is available to face Arsenal after recovering from a facial injury.

Jarrad Branthwaite, Lewis Dobbin and James Tarkowski have all overcome minor issues but Jack Harrison won't feature as he builds his fitness following a groin problem.
