He just used his body to get Romero out of the way. It certainly wasn't an elbow or an arm, it was more of a chest.

Starting to get a bit tetchy now. There's been a few naughty little challenges. The home fans are booing Cristian Romero, who they clearly feel made a lot of that contact with Odsonne Edouard a moment ago.

Edouard completes the Spurs centre-back set by going in late on Micky van de Ven and catching him on the shin to leave him needing treatment.

Odsonne Edouard is nearly in again, if you completely ignore the cynical shove he gives to Cristian Romero.

Oh, nearly!

Odsonne Edouard finds Jeffrey Schlupp and sets off towards the Spurs box. It takes a timely interception from Cristian Romero to prevent the return pass finding him and sending him in on goal.

Been a game of nearlys so far.

Crystal Palace first-team coach Ray Lewington has been patrolling the technical area and has been in danger of stepping onto the pitch at times. Palace are under a lot of pressure from Spurs and he's trying to keep all the players switched on.

Not one Pape Sarr will want to see again.

He looks to fire a shot on the move in the box but the ball touches off his standing leg and his kicking one sends it spinning wide.

I don't think it was a penalty. I think a Tottenham player heads it and it hits Richarlison and then it hits a head and a chest maybe.

Nothing in that.

VAR has a look, as it does with all such matters, but there's no penalty. The ball dropped into a group of Spurs players and may have diverted on to an arm in the mix but you can't go going spot kicks for that.

Not seen much from Palace going forward since those two early shots.

Jordan Ayew if fouled, though, and that allows them to lob a free-kick into the box. It prompts some calls for handball and a possible penalty.

Richarlison and James Maddison link up again, this time to set up a shot from range for the Brazilian, which he drags a touch and sends past the post.

Richarlison does really well. I thought the ball was going to go out.

It's a decent chance for James Maddison. It was always rising and was difficult to keep it down.

James Maddison is involved again.

He is in the box to receive a backward header from Richarlison but can't get his boot over the ball and lashes way off target from an angle.

James Maddison is indeed up and fancying the free-kick but he defers to Yves Bissouma, who belts it way over the bar.

Should have left it to Maddison.

James Maddison is caught by Joel Ward midway inside the Palace half and does a bit of rolling around, but I'm pretty confident he'll be up soon to deliver this free-kick.
