Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou speaking to Sky Sports: "Let them [the Tottenham fans] dream. That's what being a football supporter is all about it's fair to say this lot have suffered a fair bit.
"This is a tough place to come and we had to work for our victory. They're a really well organised team and I knew we had to be patient... it was another different way for us to win a game.
"It's still a new team but they're handling all these different scenarios really well.
"I think for us - you know what it's like when you get a bit of momentum, my role within that is just to keep pushing them. I just think there's still so much more growth in this team.
"Provided they're still coming in every day and working hard that gives me the opportunity to keep pushing them."

Tottenham captain Son Heung-Min speaking to Sky Sports after the win over Crystal Palace: "Not at all [am I thinking about the title]. I'm experienced so I can't just say we are going to win the league. You just want to stay on the ground and stay humble because it is early in the season. We just want to get three points in every game and then we will see what's going to happen in the ned of the season. We work hard, let's see what's going to happen."
On being in goal scoring competition with Harry Kane: "Not really, Harry is on another level from me. When you see Bundesliga is another tough league and he is absolutely killing it so I am very happy for him."
On his start to the season: "I am just enjoying every single moment, The lads are working very hard to win these games. I am very happy to be there and to help the team."

Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I thought our first half performance and at the start of the second half we were doing everything we could to keep them at bay. I think we kept them under control.
"But the first goal does change things. It gives them a boost of confidence. That is when we knew if we did lose our shape they would create more chances. I don't think they did create too many chances. Then it led to an unpleasant period for us and they were holding on to the ball.
"We got over that and created some excitement with another wholehearted effort. I am not disappointed at all in the team's performance but I think we did everything in our power to make the game go our way."
on the absence of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise: "We have got an England international and a French international and they have a lot of quality those two players. If you add that to the organisation and spirit today it will make us more dangerous going forward. We have to wait on that but I don't think I could have asked anything more than what they have given.
On the performance of his side: "I think the important thing today was that we got back to doing what we need to do and then we need to work on other aspects of our game to make sure we take the chances that come our way."

Spurs have taken 26 of a possible 30 points in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou (W8 D2), the most by a manager through his first 10 games in the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou speaking to BBC Match of the Day after the win over Crystal Palace: "I thought we handled it well. It's not an easy place to come to and the way they set up, they are disciplined defensively. I think we stayed patient and scored two good goals. [I'm] really pleased."
"I thought it went how the game would go and it would take time for us to open them up. I am happy that we stayed disciplined and stuck to the football we wanted to play.
"Every week is a different challenge. They key for us was to be disciplined, focused and persistent in our play and we did that. I think the spell between the first and second goal we were dominant and played some really good football and then still think the lads handled [the end of the match] well.
"We haven't faced that situation this year and there was a really clear-headedness about the team and there was no rushing and panic which is a good sign."
On the handball claims for Jordan Ayew's goal: "I am not going to talk about handball. I have no idea what is a handball."

Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought our first-half performance was good. I thought we gave them a good game throughout. We are playing a good team. When you are 2-0 down it becomes very difficult. We took some chances and put some players on the field who have not played much for us and had a look at them. Right to the end, the team was fighting. We scored a late goal, had lots of corner kicks and were pressing. I am not disappointed in the performance but I am in the result of course.
"I trust the team and the players and in the first half I thought our structure was good. We made life difficult for Tottenham. At the break we were satisfied. But when the first goal goes in with their ability to keep hold of the ball it makes it difficult. We are playing against the team top of the league. We were trying and wanted to do it, but they are not top of the league for nothing. It was easy for them at 2-0 to take all the time in the world on the ball.
"Today's performance was very different to the one last week. My overriding feeling is disappointment that we couldn't build on the first-half performance."

Cristian Romero completed 141 passes in this match – the most by a Spurs player on record in a single Premier League game (since 2003-04).
I think half of those were to his own keeper, but they all count.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario speaking to Sky Sports after the win over Crystal Palace: "Yeah I think we have to be happy for tonight because it was a tough game. We saw in the first half they play compact so we can't find the right line to pass the press. But we maintain focus and in the second half we show what we can do. But maybe to say a bit more concentrated in the last minutes. We have to stay focused for 100 minutes because just a little [lapse] can compromise a big win. We can enjoy this weekend and prepare for the next match."
On conceding late on: "Every game you want to keep a clean sheet. I am a little bit sad because it was in the 95 minutes. It is not so good for a keeper but I am happy for the lads. Great team spirit and we keep going."
On his start to live at Spurs: "Of course, the performance is made by work during the week. We work hard, we train hard. We have to keep going and keep improving but we would like to be the top. We have to work a lot and then recovery and we go again.
"We don't have to focus on the table. Just preparing for the next match, focus on that, good recovery and then a good week of work. We can manage this situation and not look ahead too much."

Celtic fan: Don’t underestimate the Ange effect. He is a winner he will turn this team into winners.
Mark: Rightly not worth Spurs getting carried away at this stage although remember no-one backed Leicester to win the league...

Spurs are five points clear at the top of the Premier League – their biggest lead on second place in the top-flight since the final day of the 1960-61 campaign (eight points), when they last won the title.

Lovely to see Bentancur back and getting the applause from the fans at the end, it’s a great start for Spurs but need that competition for places to keep pushing on.

It's been a fantastic start to the season that none of us excepted. With Harry Kane leaving, it was inconceivable.
Those Tottenham fans have had a lot of pain with the way the team has played and results but they are playing great football. These Tottenham fans should enjoy it but there's a long way to go.

Nobody is getting more love after the game than Rodrigo Bentancur. His team-mates mob him as the away fans sing his name. I think they're pleased to have him back.

I thought Porro was going to get caught out but he does really well to get there and put the challenge in without giving away a penalty.
He didn't cover himself in glory but he certainly made amends there.

Tottenham have a late scare but they get the job done. They're five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
That's 10 games unbeaten and counting for Ange Postecoglou to start his Tottenham career.

There's the chance!
Palace dink the ball into the box and it finds its way to the back post for Matheus Franca to slice an effort wide under pressure from Pedro Porro.
Crystal Palace 1-2 Tottenham
Last throw of the dice for Palace. They have a free-kick that Sam Johnstone can belt down field... only for Joachim Anderson to be flagged offside!

Now Jordan Ayew is booked for reacting to a foul against him. Chaos.

How many replays? You can see it’s handball. Yes it only grazes it and I hate the rule, but it’s handball.
