    Jaidon Anthony (89 mins)

Substitute Jaidon Anthony puts the cherry on the cake for Leeds, opening up his body and finishing past Daniel Bachmann after being played through by Georginio Rutter.

Watford have barely been at the races today, and have been totally outclassed.

Their wretched run on the road continues.

    Rotherham 1-1 Preston

Rotherham haven't had too many chances in the second half but have just hit the side-netting though substitute Sam Nombe.

The Millers are looking for just their second win of the campaign, which came against Norwich last time out at home.

Just over five minutes remain for Preston to find a goal which would keep them top of the Championship.

  3. League One updatepublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

A Blackpool player has found the net again – but this time in it’s their own net to give Reading a goal back.

James Husband’s misfortune is unlikely to make much of a difference with the score 4-1 though.

Slobodan Tedic has put Charlton 2-1 against Wycombe.

James Collins’ second is also Derby’s second as they lead Carlisle 2-0.

Elliott List also has a double and it's now 3-0 to Stevenage at Cheltenham.

Devante Cole's ninth of the season has surely sealed the points for Barnsley at Northampton as he makes it 2-0.

The Baggies hit the bar again.

This time it's Brandon Thomas-Asante who heads against the woodwork after Matt Phillips had nodded a cross back across goal.

Albion are readying in-form John Swift and Jed Wallace, against his former club. Not bad subs to have up your sleeve.

Bob Quinn: What utter tosh this comment (15:51) is. Argyle have to travel ‘away’ from Plymouth every other week!! How is that an advantage? Give your head a wobble Calvin.

    Plymouth 5-1 Norwich

  10. Postpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Rotherham 1-1 Preston

A fine double save from Viktor Johansson keeps Rotherham level.

The Swede keeps out a low effort from distance from Ryan Ledson and then quickly reacts to deny Milutin Osmajic on the rebound.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:39 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

  12. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Leicester 1-0 Bristol City

Leicester are top of the Championship as things stand, with Preston and Ipswich both drawing.

Plenty of time for that to change though.

Jason Knight has just fired an effort over the Foxes bar, while the visitors have brought on Harry Cornick for the final 15 minutes.

He was played through by Gabriel Sara in a neat little move on goal and puts the ball away.

    Unsurprisingly celebrations are muted though.

  15. League Two updatepublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

It’s raining goals at Meadow Lane!

That all came after Troy Deeney scored twice in five minutes to make it 2-2!

Walsall were level with AFC Wimbledon for three minutes before Jack Currie put the visitors back in front.

Mansfield look set to maintain their unbeaten record after taking the lead over Barrow.

    Leeds 2-0 Watford

    Calvin Andrew
Ex-Rochdale, Mansfield and Port Vale forward on Squad Goals

Joel Prioe was the signing Leeds needed to make.

They needed to go out and get someone because they have got so much quality to create chances, so they needed someone with that goalscoring eye to convert them. Joel Piroe is exactly that.

  17. League One updatepublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

Cambridge have equalised at Port Vale through Fejiri Okenabirhie’s fourth of the season.

Bristol Rovers lead Wigan 4-1 after John Marquis' 68th-minute strike and ten-man Bolton are still level with Peterborough at 1-1.

Elliot List has compounded Cheltenham misery by doubling Stevenage's lead.

If the Robins don't score they will become the first team in EFL history to go nine games without scoring at the start of a season.

Even if they were to lose they would just be happy to score to avoid that unwanted bit of history you imagine.

    Sam Byram (70 mins)

Two goals in the space of four minutes for Leeds, and you can't say Daniel Farke's side don't deserve it on the balance of play.

Sam Byram heads in Dan James' corner to give the Whites some breathing space.

  19. goal

GOAL: Swansea 3-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

The Owls fans are flooding out of the exits.

  20. goal

GOAL: Swansea 2-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Jerry Yates (64 mins)

It's been all Sheffield Wednesday of late too...

Di'Shon Bernard and Bambo Diaby are caught in possession at the back and Jamal Lowe and Jamie Paterson combine to get the ball to Jerry Yates who tucks past Devis Vasquez.

That might be that. Swansea's worst ever league start might be coming to an end with their first win.
