Wales got the win they needed, and it keeps them in contention to qualify automatically for Euro 2024.

    FT: Latvia 0-2 Wales

    Rob Phillips

BBC Wales Football Correspondent on BBC Radio Wales

There have been doubters, but this was a dominant performance which lacked only the goals that the display deserved.

Rob Page is surely a relieved man in Riga.

    FT: Latvia 0-2 Wales

    Rob Phillips

BBC Wales Football Correspondent on BBC Radio Wales

A poignant moment as Rob Page and David Brooks had a huge hug between the two of them.

Let's not forget David Brooks has been nurtured by Rob Page in the under-21s.

We all know the difficulties that David Brooks has come through to seal this win tonight.

On his second-half withdrawal, Ramsey said: "It's just a precaution. I didn't want to take any chances but I'll be fine for the weekend."

  6. Post update

    FT: Latvia 0-2 Wales

    Ian Walsh

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Credit to all those Welsh fans that have travelled.

It's fantastic that they've got there in their numbers to support the lads even though Wales have been going through a poor stretch of games.

There's no way now that you can consider anything but allow Rob Page to keep going.

  7. Conga time for the Red Wall

    FT: Latvia 0-2 Wales

    Nathan Blake

    Nathan Blake

  10. FULL-TIME - Latvia 0-2 Wales

It was far from comfortable at times, but Wales have got the job done.

Goals from Aaron Ramsey and David Brooks earn Robert Page's men all three points in Riga.

  12. Post update

    Latvia 0-1 Wales

    Nathan Blake

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

For me, Wales should have been walking away from this game at least three goals to the good.

  13. Post update

    Latvia 0-1 Wales

Janis Ikaunieks whips in the free-kick, but Danny Ward rises to pluck the ball out of the skies.

    Top stuff from the goalkeeper.

  14. Would 1-0 be enough for Rob Page?

    Latvia 0-1 Wales

    Rob Phillips

BBC Wales Football Correspondent on BBC Radio Wales

1-0 would be the win that Rob Page requires after just one in 13.

But will it be enough to convince his bosses to keep faith with him?

  15. Post update

    Latvia 0-1 Wales

It's all gone very scrappy here as Wales look increasingly happy to clear their lines and absorb pressure.

    Wales look nervy here.

Latvia captain Kristers Tobers is yellow carded for a foul on Neco Williams, and Wales are only too happy to slow things down.

  18. Post update

    Latvia 0-1 Wales

Wales go short from a corner and look to keep possession.

A sign of nerves, perhaps? They really didn't want to hand the ball back to Latvia cheaply there. Ultimately, the hosts get back in possession.

  19. Post update

    Rob Phillips
