The set-piece is a loopy one and Virgil van Dijk is unable to get his header on target.

Bright start from LASK who have two corners but Kostas Tsimikas heads them both away at the near post.

Ibrahima Konate then hacks clear a long throw and his clearance sets up Darwin Nunez who shoots over from a tight angle.

Aston Villa win the ball back in the middle of the park and seem quite happy just to pass it around.

Whistles from the home fans suggest they're not too pleased with that.

Oh that's not right. LASK are in their white home kit, Liverpool are playing in purple not red.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp talking to TNT: "I really hope we can see players enjoying the game. The reason we made the changes is because we want to give our all.

"We have to get Ben Doak on the ball and we all know his skills are exceptional. He still has a lot to learn as well.

"We have to defend at a really top level and, on top of that, get into the game, play football and create chances."

Polish side Legia Warsaw had to battle their way through three qualifiers just to reach the group stages of this year's Europa Conference League.

They conceded 13 goals against Ordabasy, Austria Vienna and Midtjylland but still edged their way into Group E.

In the league they've been far better defensively, letting in just three goals while collecting 14 points from their opening six matches.

• This will be the first competitive meeting between LASK and Liverpool. The Austrian side have faced English opposition four times previously – two defeats in the 2019-20 Europa League last 16 by Manchester United and one loss and one draw with Tottenham in the group stage of the same competition in 2020-21.
• Liverpool have only lost one of their eight previous meetings with Austrian sides in European competition (W6 D1), a 1-0 home defeat by AK Graz in 2004-05 Champions League qualifying en route to winning the tournament that season.
• LASK have only lost one of their past 16 matches in European competition (W11 D4). At home, they are unbeaten in eight in Europe (W5 D3) since losing 2-0 to Royal Antwerp in the Europa League in November 2020.
• This is Liverpool’s first campaign in the Europa League losing the 2015-16 final. The Reds have won just four of their 21 away games in the tournament (D9 L8), including only one of the past nine.
