  1. 'England lose control without Walsh in middle'published at 19:42 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Netherlands 1-0 England

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV4

When Keira Walsh is not in the team we do lose that element of control in the middle of the field.

We lack that player who is going to get on the ball, put their foot on it and pick players out, knit the play together.

The likes of Russo and Hemp are feeding off scraps so far tonight.

Not all of you like VAR, I get it. But, that was a clear offside. It would have been a 30 second check, max.

    Netherlands 1-0 England

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Stadion Galgenwaard

Ouch. A lot going on with that goal.

First Millie Bright, then Georgia Stanway is closed down and the ricochet fell kindly to Danielle van de Donk.

The replay suggests she was offside but there's no VAR...

It was a lovely finish from Lieke Martens and it's definitely deserved for the Netherlands but England were furious with that decision.

  7. 'An absolute gift of a goal'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Netherlands 1-0 England

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV4

England have been caught like this a couple of times now, an absolute gift for the Dutch.

England just have to move the ball quicker. They are giving the ball away in areas that the Netherlands can exploit, which they have done here.

Mary Earps just throws her arms into the air in frustration.

GOAL - Netherlands 1-0 Englandpublished at 35 mins

    Lieke Martens

    It had been coming!

Georgia Stanway's clearance is blocked and the ball skids right to Danielle van de Donk.

One-on-one with Mary Earps she lays off to Lieke Martens who curls the ball into the top corner.

A quick replay shows Van de Donk was offside. We have no VAR tonight.

Where would France be without Wendie Renard?

The skipper scored the only goal of the game as Les Bleues won 1-0 against Austria in Vienna.

France are already looking strong in Group A2. They have six points from two games and are yet to concede. They're away to Norway next on 27 October.

Norway are currently losing 2-1 away to Portugal with around half an hour to go.

    Netherlands 0-0 England

An underlapping centre-back with a quality strike!

The Dutch play some total football as Caitlin Dijkstra bursts into the England box before firing in a powerful close-ranged effort which is heading in at the near post.

But England's player of the year Mary Earps produces a top save to tip the ball over.

She also catches the resulting corner too!

  13. 'England spending a lot of time defending'published at 19:31 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Netherlands 0-0 England

    Lucy Ward
    Former Leeds striker on ITV4

England are definitely not connecting the passes they need to in midfield, and they are spending a lot of time defending at the moment.

They are doing well the wing-backs to keep the Netherlands' wingers under control however. They are sitting deeper and denying the Dutch forwards the space in behind.

It's not a particularly enthralling watch. Neither side are making too many mistakes, it's more of a case of two top defences playing some very organised football.
