While we await full-time in West Brom-QPR, let's run through the headlines across League One and League Two tonight...

  7. Postpublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    West Brom 2-0 QPR

QPR are throwing players forward in an attempt to get a goal but it's a long way back for the visitors with just a few minutes left.

West Brom are keeping it disciplined at the back and not letting anything get through.

    Leicester 1-0 Sunderland

Enzo Maresca celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Leicester City show another side of their qualities, showing resolve and resilience to hold onto their narrow advantage and extend their lead at the top of the Championship with a 12th win from 13 - historic form.

The goal from James Justin proved enough for the Foxes, and Anthony Patterson's goalkeeping kept them at bay.

That said, Sunderland had chances but failed to take them. Tony Mowbray will rue that, but the Foxes deserved it.

    West Brom 2-0 QPR

We are still going at the Hawthorns but it's all one-way traffic at the moment.

The Baggies well on top now with less then 10 minutes of regular time left.

I wouldn't be surprised if they nabbed a third.

    Boro celebrateImage source, PA Media

The four completed Championship games tonight have all been won by the away side.

However the two matches still ongoing are being led by the home teams.

Just something I noticed - and still time for it to change.

Six wins in the Championship on the spin and seven in all comps.

    Huddersfield 0-4 Cardiff

Cardiff's first-half barrage is enough to see off sorry Huddersfield, who slump to defeat.

Callum Robinson scored in the first two minutes, Dimitrios Goutas bulleted in a header soon after and Yakou Meite made it three before the break.

The Bluebirds settled it with Perry Ng's devastating free-kick, and not even a series of near misses could turn it round for Huddersfield with the game done.

Back to winning ways for Erol Bulut.

  14. goal

GOAL: Norwich 1-2 Middlesbroughpublished at 21:43 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Jonathan Rowe (90+9 mins)

Utter rocket from Jonathan Rowe from the tightest of angles, Norwich pull one back.

He hit it from the left of the box with no real opening to speak of but his effort ferociously veers beyond Seny Dieng.

    Glimmer of hope.

    West Brom 1-0 QPR

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

Well that has sure woken everyone up at The Hawthorns after that first-half snorefest.

QPR a goal down - and a man down - all in the same incident.

Grady Diangana went down with some ease under a challenge from Kenneth Paal, referee James Bell pointed to the spot, Rangers defender Jimmy Dunne complained too forcibly and was red-carded.

BTA then slammed home a stunning penalty but Rangers boss Gareth Ainsworth's luck is right out.

Just the sort of decision you don't want to see when your team haven't won in seven games - and your job is supposedly on the line!

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    West Brom 1-0 QPR

West Brom have climbed over the top rope and entered the ring, they are not messing around now.

Grady Diangana the latest Baggies player to test the QPR goal and rattles the woodwork.

It's an entirely different atmosphere now at The Hawthorns.

    The visitors look stunned.

  20. goal

GOAL: Norwich 0-2 Middlesbroughpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Samuel Silvera (90+2 mins)

    Boro celebrateImage source, PA Media

Game over, and Boro get a sixth straight league win and seventh in a row in all competitions.

Sam Silvera latched onto a loose clearance about 30 yards out, meandered toward the edge of the box and arced his shot wide of George Long, nestling it in the corner.

Norwich slump to another home loss, Boro well and truly up and running.
