    West Brom 0-0 QPR

Ahh West Brom's Nathaniel Chalobah has to do better from close range.

The midfielder receives the pull back pass inside the QPR box, there isn't a defender shutting him down, no pressure, but he scuffs the shot and it remains goalless.

Approaching the halfway mark of this opening 45 minutes at the Hawthorns.

    West Brom 0-0 QPR

Ooof a decent chance for West Brom from close range.

Grady Diangana whips a ball into the QPR box but Brandon Thomas-Asante can't quite get on the end of it.

That's the best chance of the game in these early stages.

Peterborough are at it again! Ephron Mason-Clark has them ahead at Port Vale looking to extend their run towards the top of the table.

Staying in the promotion picture, Bolton lead at Wycombe thanks to Paris Maghoma's goal.

Blackpool are just outside the play-offs and they lead 2-0 at home to bottom side, although no longer winless, Cheltenham. Shayne Lavery and Jordan Rhodes with the goals.

This game hasn't lived up to the pre-match fireworks - but Matt Grimes is doing his best to score a goal of the month contender.

Having come close from 45 yards earlier, he's just been denied from 25 yards - this time with a curling effort superbly saved by Daniel Bachmann.

    Leicester 1-0 Sunderland

Stephy Mavididi shuffles into the box and sends a skiddy low shot at goal which Anthony Patterson in the Sunderland nets turns on to the post and out.

Leicester have settled nicely after the goal, and their supporters are in sync.

  7. Postpublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Millwall 1-1 Blackburn

That Blackburn equaliser has quietened the Millwall fans at The Den.

It was bouncing a short while ago but it feels pretty subdued now.

15 minutes of normal time left in this first half.

Every single one of the Leicester City faithful at the King Power stadium jumped up from their seats as James Justin leapt highest to head home from the corner.

The roar of celebration was seismic.

Up until that moment, Sunderland had the high-flying hosts under intense early pressure.

    Ged Scott

They were finally under way at The Hawthorns at 20:13.

    After another further minute's delay.

But this one was well worth it.

Another lovely, well-observed tribute to the late, great Sir Bobby Charlton.

Now the game has actually kicked off, it has all gone rather strangely quiet.

Leicester rode the early pressure from Sunderland and didn't take long to strike themselves.

Corner in from the left, James Justin shuffled his way into space, wriggled away from his marker and boomed a header into the near post which sailed in.

Anthony Patterson flatfooted and the Black Cats markers picking up thin air.

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    West Brom 0-0 QPR

The late, late game West Brom versus QPR is now under way at The Hawthorns.

The kick-off was pushed back by 10 or so minutes because the visitors team bus was delayed on the way to the ground due to traffic.

  12. Postpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Leicester 0-0 Sunderland

It was an emotion-packed prelude to this game for the Leicester public with their tributes to former chairman Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, and it has been Sunderland who have adjusted best to the action since kicking off.

Sunderland worked the ball to the left of the box for Jack Clarke to have a shot, but Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen made himself big and blocked the effort.

Blackburn are back in the game and they deserve that one.

Joe Rankin-Costello weaves his way into the box, one or two dummies, and shoots down the middle and into the back of the net.

    All square at The Den.

But his shot runs out of steam and is gathered no problem.

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

I wonder if Matt Grimes has enjoyed watching the David Beckham documentary on Netflix.

This is not quite from the halfway line like Beckham's famous strike at Selhurst Park in 1996, but the Swansea captain has just come close with a superb effort from 45 yards which Watford Daniel Bachmann saved, relatively comfortably in the end.

  16. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Millwall 1-0 Blackburn

A Millwall player tumbles into the box and the referee has a decision to make here.

He was very close to the challenge but he waves for both sides to play on.

And Blackburn have the ball going in the other direction.

This is a very open game so far, despite the early goal.

Lots of early goals in League Two.

The most interesting at Wimbledon where Joe Pritchard and Tommy Leigh have put Accrington 2-0 up and aiming for a fourth league win on the spin. That game is eighth versus seventh in the table.

Mansfield began the night sixth and lead at Harrogate thanks to Lewis Brunt.

Matthew Etherington saw his temporary charges Colchester fall a goal behind at Grimsby but Joe Taylor has quickly equalised.

Lowly Forest Green, who began the night third-from-bottom, trail at home to Sam Foley's goal for Barrow, who have not won for four matches.

Bottom side Sutton also trail, with Paul Mullin scoring for Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.

Huddersfield were two up against QPR in about the same amount of time they are two down now against Cardiff.

Cardiff centre-back Dimitrios Goulas bulleted a header from a Joe Ralls corner and the visitors are cruising nicely.

Darren Moore's side had chances in between but this is a right setback.

A minute’s applause and moment of sober reflection has been observed at the King Power Stadium, as people remember the tragic loss of life in the helicopter crash just outside the ground five years ago.

Images of chairman Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, a man who will forever be embraced as a Foxes legend for the success he helped bring to the club during his time as its custodian, always evoke powerful emotions among the Leicester faithful.

He was with members of his staff, Nusara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, as well as pilots and partners Eric Swaffer and Izabela Roza Lechowicz, when they died on 27 October 2018.
