Boos from a fair few at The Hawthorns at the half-time whistle.

    Can't see why.

Personally, I was delighted that referee James Bell brought the half to an end after adding on just a minute of time - because this has been an absolute stinker.

I can now head off and improve my evening with a nice cup of tea.

A bit of a damp squib so far between West Brom and QPR.

What a finish from Blackburn's Callum Brittain!

He's fed the ball between two defenders from James Hill and collects on the far side edge of the box, glances for support, takes it himself, switches on to his left foot just inside the area and curls it into the top corner.

    Silky stuff from Rovers.

  5. How has there only been one goal?!published at 20:54 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    HT: Leicester 1-0 Sunderland

    Andrew Aloia
BBC Sport at the King Power Stadium

Leicester City's James Justin has thumped home the only goal of the game so far, but the Foxes and Sunderland will both be wondering how it remains 1-0.

Twice Anthony Patterson managed to push Foxes shots on to the post, and the Black Cats have every right to feel aggrieved for not having a penalty awarded when Wout Faes brought Daniel Neil down just before the break.

One thing is for sure, this game promises more goals in the second half.

Nightmarish goal for Norwich to give away.

We're getting started for the second half across the EFL matches which started at 19:45 BST.

    Huddersfield 0-3 Cardiff

Cardiff celebrateImage source, Huw Evans Picture Agency

Cardiff have blown Huddersfield away in the first half and all but delivered three points.

The home side conceded early on when Callum Robinson backheeled a centre past Lee Nicholls.

Joe Ralls swung in a corner for big centre-back Dimitros Goutas to power in and just before the break Yakou Meite finished off another superb set-piece delivery.

Jack Rudoni skewed a header wide in the final moments of the half, missing the chance to pull one back for the Terriers. Not their night at all.

  16. A lot at stake at The Hawthornspublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    West Brom 0-0 QPR

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

It's still a rather pensive, cagey mood among both sets of fans and players at The Hawthorns - and for good reason.

QPR have not won in seven games and have lost their last four to ramp up the pressure on boss Gareth Ainsworth.

But their two wins this season have both been away from home, so Albion's air of caution is maybe understandable.

Albion have only scored four goals in their last four home games. And they are without so many of their key front men, Daryl Dike, summer signing Josh Maja and top scorer John Swift. But it's a key date in the calendar tomorrow - a year to the day since boss Carlos Corberan took charge. So it would be nice for him to have something to remember the occasion by.

Something a bit more memorable than what we've seen so far, anyway!

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

A half of few chances for both sides in south Wales.

Watford the slightly better team and able to create a few more chances as we break for half-time oranges.

Norwich were under a cosh a bit in that one, Middlesbrough creating chances but unable to secure an opening.

    Stalemate at the break.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Millwall 1-1- Blackburn

    Even Stevens at The Den.

A bright start from Millwall saw them take the early lead through a Wes Harding goal inside five minutes.

But Blackburn fought their way back into the match and found a neat equaliser through Joe Rankin-Costello 20 minutes later.

    All to play for.

  20. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 0-3 Cardiffpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 24 October 2023

    Yakou Meite (43 mins)

Horrible defending from Huddersfield and Cardiff are flying.

Another corner from Joe Ralls, Yakou Meite has time to take a touch, control it and thrash it home.

    Darren Moore looks crestfallen.
