A lifeline for Rangers.

This is what Aris deserve.
I'm looking at the Rangers players individually. No-one is falling out with each other, they're not getting after one another. There's an acceptance. It's horrible to see, really.
Aris have outplayed Rangers.

That is really soft if Dessers is wanting a penalty, I would rather see him bust a gut to get on the end of it.
Aris Limassol 2-0 Rangers
Ben Davies glides in a gorgeous ball to the back post and surely Cyriel Dessers is there to burst the net, but he goes down under slight contact from the defender.
He is furious and takes a booking for screaming at the referee, but there's not a lot in it.

You have got to expect to win every game. The mindset and the mentality has to be that you approach every game with the desire to win.
Sixty-one minutes in and I do not see much leadership or togetherness in the team.
Shavy Babicka
My days. It's so, so, so simple.
Leo Bengtsson charges down the left under little pressure from John Lundstram, and his cross across goal is just eased into the net by Shavy Babicka.
Sobering stuff for any Rangers fan.

Sima looks like the one Rangers player who carries a threat. He's looked dangerous so far in this second half.
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
Abdallah Sima has come alive.
He takes one touch on the edge and smashes on the spin, forcing the keeper into a fine stop.
Cyriel Dessers, who is offside anyway, meets the rebound with the goal gaping and I don't really know how to describe what he just attempted.
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
It's Tavernier who takes, and it's right into the wall.
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
Eric Boakye misjudges the bounce of the ball and panics.
He tugs down Abdallah Sima and he's in the book. A dangerous position this for James Tavernier or Borna Barisic...
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
There are gaps for Aris on the break.
If the final ball is better they've got a right chance of a second.
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
In similar fashion to the goal he scored against Livingston last week, Abdallah Sima nudges his marker off the ball before slamming in.
The referee blows for a foul and gives him a card for kicking the ball way... into the goal.
Sima's understandably confused.
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
Rangers work a really nice move as Nico Raskin dinks a lovely ball over the defence to James Tavernier.
But his volley across goal is dragged behind the attack and Aris race clear before smashing well wide of Jack Butland's goal.

Steven Davis will have been angry at the performance.
He will want to see the team show a bit of character and we have not seen much of that so far.
Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
Away we go again.
Can Rangers turn this around?

Kenny Miller

Rangers dodged a bullet early on, that could have been 2-0 after 10 minutes and it would have been a long way back.
It's still all to play for in the second half.

Jane Lewis
BBC Scotland in Limassol
Steven Davis will have to deliver quite the half-time team talk if Rangers are to get back into this match.
They showed a bit more promise as the first half drew to a close, but prior to that ten minutes or so, they were very poor.
Defensively, they looked shaky and going forward they offered very little. Oh, to be a fly on the wall in the away dressing room.
HT: Aris Limassol 1-0 Rangers
After the first 15 minutes, Rangers should have been 2-0 down. They looked incredibly disjointed and, overall, they've looked quite dysfunctional.
At that point, it was horrendous. Properly horrendous. But they recovered well enough to stem the flow from Aris. But they didn't take advantage of that. They didn't put their mark on the game.
There should have been a reaction from the weekend's performance and losing their manager. There has been no upgrade on that performance.
It's been nervy, they look like they haven't played together before. There's even more question marks about this Rangers side.
