It would be an unbelievable achievement for Scotland to be the first nation to qualify for the European Championships.
I don't think anyone in their wildest dreams would have expected us to be in this position, top of the group, undefeated and coming to a roasting hot Seville in a game we could qualify from.
Spain v Scotland (19:45)
Scotland head coach Steve Clarke says his approach will not change tonight.
"We try and do what we always do," he told Viaplay a wee while ago. "We respect our opponents, we try to put together an idea that can give us a chance to get something from the game as always.
"You have to relish these games. Big games against big opponents, we want to do as well as we can, show everyone how good we are, and hopefully our players can show everyone how good they are.
"Spain will feel as though they are in a good place, but we're also in a good place."
On Ryan Christie's inclusion, Clarke adds: "He gives us something a little bit different to what Billy [Gilmour] gives us.
"Everyone out there knows their job, knows what they have to do and it's not a game that's 90 minutes, it's 100 minutes.
"We've got a good squad, people ready to come in as and when required, so hopefully we can cover all bases."

Scotland boss Steve Clarke wouldn't bite when asked about that Rodri interview.
"I can't even remember what he said, to be honest," was how he batted it away yesterday. "It is not something that I ever get involved in."
Coach John Carver wasn't quite so diplomatic the other day, saying: "It agitated me. We beat them fair and square.
"I didn't like it. I thought it was disrespectful but it was their prerogative to say whatever they want to say, whether they want to use that as an excuse.
"I'm sure it would've got to some of the players but there's a long time gone since then and it's about being professional and having a clear head going into this game so I don't think it'll be a distraction."

Rodri might be in for a rough ride from Scotland fans this evening. His first few touches are sure to provoke a few jeers after his comments at Hampden.
Following that 2-0 loss, the Manchester City midfielder said: "It's the way they play, but for me it's rubbish, always wasting time, provoking you, always they fall. For me, this is not football.
"We will learn for the next time. We want to go for duels, for battles - we always fight, but this is not about fighting. It's about wasting time - four, five players on the floor, but this depends on the referee, not on us."
What's Spanish for sour grapes?

To say it’s a bit balmy would be an understatement. Was hoping the altitude of the press box would help - we’re higher than a pilot’s piece box - but it’s stifling stuff in Seville.
Meanwhile, Liam Kelly is warming up with what looks like a base layer on his top and bottom half, although from this distance away it very well could be a duffel coat.
The weather will play its part tonight. Can Scotland hack the heat?

Spain's loss to Scotland earlier in this campaign was just the second match of Luis de la Fuente's managerial reign.
How have they done since then?
Well, they won the Nations League, getting past Italy in the semis and edging out Croatia on penalties in the final.
In the two qualifiers played last month, they smashed in a combined 13 goals in convincing victories over Georgia and Cyprus.

When Spain need a result, they come to Seville. This is a place where they get their twelfth man.
Spain have improved since the game at Hampden, it's a completely different side.
They're a very difficult side to stop right now.

I think Scotland would be mad to try and press this Spain team.
Firstly, the weather. And we know how technically gifted they are, they would just pop the ball round about you.
I imagine it'll be a deep Scotland formation and we'll try to set traps and counter.

"It’s a really exciting time to be a Scotland player," said John McGinn yesterday. "The fans are here regardless of the results, but we’re now giving them some success which we’re enjoying.
"When you come back up the road you hear about the positive impact you’re having on the whole country. Everyone is behind the team again.
"We need to be better (than the win over Spain). We’re away from home, a team is stronger at home. It wasn’t as hot in Glasgow in March.
"We need to be aggressive, it’s in our nature as a country. Hard working, determined, we’ll fight for every ball.
"We need to get the balance right. We need to be physical and aggressive, but we’ve got some great players as well. At the first Spain game, we showed good moments of quality."

Of course, Seville is synonymous with heartbreak for the Old Firm, with both Celtic and Rangers losing European finals in the city.
Celtic were undone in extra time by Jose Mourinho's Porto in 2003, while Rangers suffered the pain of a penalty shoot-out loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in May 2022.
Surely it's time for a good news story...

This is not the first time Scotland have played in Seville.
There was a 1-0 loss in February 1985 on the way to the World Cup in Mexico.
And, at the previous World Cup, Scotland were on the wrong end of a 4-1 from Brazil after Dave Narey had the temerity to open the scoring.

As ever, the Tartan Army are here in big numbers.
By my guessing there could easily be around 6,000 supporters in Seville, and my goodness they've been making themselves heard in the city.
Thousands have just marched through the streets to the stadium and are filling out the away section.
Could be more than a few in the home end as well...

I had a feeling it would be McKenna who came into the defence. Dykes starting for me is a no-brainer.
It's a surprise to see Christie, but he was really good when he came on against England.

"We have to win these two games," said Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente yesterday, with a trip to Norway following on Sunday.
"Scotland is crucial, beat them and it opens up our qualification.
"We took a lot from the game in Glasgow. We’re stronger than we were then, we’re playing better than before.
"We need to play football and show how we win. Then we try to win the next and the next – but it all starts here, we have to do the job here.
"It’s a really tough game. We respect Scotland a lot, their team, their players. It is a tough opponent and they have shown it in the qualification with their results. We have to be at our very best level to win because this is a top-level team."
