It's been a great game and the intensity levels have continued in the second half. It seems like it is Chelsea who are on the up now.

    Now then, this is interesting...

Mykhailo Mudryk chases as City work the ball back towards Ederson. He leaves his box and clears the ball but against the hand of Kyle Walker first.

There's nothing given on the field, though.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 73 mins

Rodri halts Cole Palmer in the middle of the field. Has to be a booking and is.

Liz: That's incredibly poor goalkeeping. Rule one - parry the ball to the side. Children know this. Saving a shot and putting it a few yards directly forward leads to the easy tap-in. We cannot defend like this and win anything this season. Cannot do it!

Jasper: Terrible from Ederson, if you're going to parry then parry hard... not just straight back into danger.

So many momentum shifts in this.

Chelsea are now in the ascendancy, their players on the front foot, their fans the loudest.

Mauricio Pochettino kept that man on Nicholas Jackson and we have seen very little of him. Right place at the right time, a good strike from Conor Gallagher.

Mykhailo Mudryk comes on and is really positive, Gallagher find himself in acres of space and Jackson is onside - not great from Ederson.

Ederson puts it right in the danger area.

City look to respond immediately as Erling Haaland rises at the back post, but Thiago Silva is with him and does enough to prevent any power in the effort.

It all comes about because of Gallagher's attempt. I think Ederson could have done better with that save. Jackson was quicker with his response.

    Nicolas Jackson

    We're all square again!

Nicolas Jackson has his fourth goal of the week, taking advantage of a loose ball following Ederson's save from a Conor Gallagher shot to slot in with ease.

The rollercoaster ride continues. And it's tipping it down now too, just to add a bit more spice.

Neirin: Palmer stays on his feet after two clumsy challenges in the box. I don't like players going down but sometimes it feels the only way.

Ed: If Palmer goes over that's a penalty. Big problem that players aren't rewarded for trying to stay on their feet. They're incentivised to dive under contact.

    Chelsea turn to the bench.

On come Mykhailo Mudryk and Malo Gusto for Enzo Fernandez and Reece James.

James has been good today, but he's still fragile after his injury issues.

City looking more likely to add a fourth than Chelsea get a third here.

Palmer fouled four times there - just because he was honest enough to stay up doesn't mean he shouldn't get a penalty!

That was brilliant from Cole Palmer, he will certainly be replaying that tonight.

He wants to drive right through the Man City defence, it is a challenge from Ruben Dias which stops him scoring.

Cole Palmer does remarkably well. He beat four City players. He could have gone down a couple of times, but he got his shot off.

Moises Caicedo is booked by the ref, going back to show him yellow for an earlier late challenge on Jack Grealish.

You can't take your eyes off the game, though, because City are pouring forward again for a low shot from Phil Foden that is saved.

Oh wow! Almost a brilliant goal from Cole Palmer!

He gathers the ball 40 yards from goal, turns and just beats man after man. He gets himself in on goal but is slightly off balance from a shove and his shot is saved by Ederson.
