From the ridiculous to the near sublime.
Jeremy Doku is found in acres of space on the left for a driving run into the Chelsea box that ends with him cuitting inside and firing a low shot straight at Robert Sanchez.

I have to say, that was embarrassing from Doku. He threw himself to the floor. He even asked the referee for a penalty.
Chelsea 2-3 Man City
Jeremy Doku tries to fool the ref by throwing himself down in the box after losing out to Reece James. It's not a penalty and Anthony Taylor books him.

I’m sorry how was that goal not ruled off for handball? The ball is not over the line and it touched his elbow. That is handball, the goal should not have stood. Man City getting all the decisions as usual.

Colin: I can't believe that VAR would even consider checking Haaland's goal for handball! Do they really look for any reason to disallow!? The loss of spontaneity is so sad!
Chelsea 2-3 Man City
Can't express enough how pleased I am to see these two sides come out swinging haymakers again.
Keep going lads. I want this to end like Rocky v Drago - the pair of them swaying, spent and chucking fists to the bitter, bloody end.
No pain, no pain.
Chelsea 2-3 Man City
City are out with the bit firmly between their teeth!
Rodri's determination sees the ball loop up to Julian Alvarez to volley an effort straight at Robert Sanchez. A yard either side and the Blues keeper has a real test on his hands there.

You can certainly say that Caicedo wasn't strong enough with his challenge on the halfway line.
Chelsea 2-3 Man City
City 1-0, Chelsea 2-1, City 3-2.
It's a barnstormer.

Two minutes into this second half and Phil Foden gets the ball in acres of space and they score a typical Manchester City goal. Erling Haaland does really well and it is not great from Chelsea.
Once the overlapping run comes in it is an issue for Marc Cucurella.
The Raheem Sterling goal was a typical Manchester City goal and now they have gone and got one of their own.
Chelsea 2-3 Man City
They haven't ruled it out!
This twisty-turny game continues to deliver the goods!
Chelsea 2-3 Man City
Surely not!
VAR are looking at this to see if there's a handball by Erling Haaland, but if anything his arm is almost preventing the ball crossing the line before it does. They can't rule this out.
Erling Haaland
There is no let up!
City rip Chelsea open to take the lead in this game again. Phil Foden is found on the right and he waits until Julian Alvarez overlaps. The Argentine's low ball into the middle finds Erling Haaland, sliding with a Chelsea player to bundle the ball over the line.
Chelsea 2-2 Man City
Raheem Sterling is really enjoying himself.
He wins the ball off Kyle Walker, beats one man and is then taken down by the sliding City full back for a free-kick.

Here we go again.

Millington: As a Chelsea fan it’s clear this game is like two boxers going tooth and nail and, although the likelihood is we’ll get knocked out, it’s refreshing to see us be very much in the fight again.

West Ham boss David Moyes speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I was thrilled with the opening couple of minutes and I was certainly thrilled when I heard the final whistle as well. In between it, there was a lot of good things, some not so good but in the Premier League you have to take your wins when you get them. Today was a good win. We had a 1-0 win here on Thursday night against Olympiakos and now a victory today.
"It's really difficult to win Thursday, Sunday football in the Premier League with the level of opposition you've got to play on a Sunday. We've done that for two seasons now so I'd like to say we were getting good at it and getting used to it but it's the quality and sometimes that's why you're having to change your players but I just think the two day recovery is really tough on the players but today it didn't show. We got stronger as the game went on after they made it 2-1, we probably got better in that period of the game, we made three of four big chances, we didn't quite get them but in the end we had a world class set-piece taker who probably got us out of trouble.
On James Ward-Prowse's impact this season: "Huge would be an understatement but I think if I was James I would be disappointed that he hadn't had 15 or 16 assists by now because of the quality of the ball. Today we got on the end of a couple. In recent weeks we looked as if we dried up, I thought where were we getting our goals from corners from but today we did."
On the international break: "I think all managers now quite enjoy the international break because it gives them a little bit of time but you really only enjoy it if you win. It's not easy to sit on defeats and there will be a lot of managers who feel that way every weekend, that's what happens."
FT: West Ham 3-2 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm disappointed, really disappointed. Not even to draw the game but not to win it because it's a game we could have easily won but we haven't won it. We've lost the game on our own actions and when you think about that, you can't look past the goals which is an obvious things to say.
"We gifted them the first goal right at the start of the game through a lack of concentration and then the second goal we obviously do brilliantly to go 2-1 up and we concede a corner within three or four seconds of kick-off through not winning duels and concentration. We let people go and they equalise and then the third goal we have a throw-in more or less in the middle of the pitch and three or four seconds later there's another corner we have to defend and people don't make who they should and then there's a free header and a goal so for all the things that went on in the game, we can't look past our poor moments around the goals."
On whether lack of concentration was responsible for the goals conceded: "Desire definitely on the set-plays. Concentration of course and just a will at the moment in time to do better than what we did. It's a really pity because after gifting them a goal we then do well to come back into the game, 1-1, we should go 2-1 up at the start of the second half. Probably one of the best chances of the game, certainly from open play and then we do go 2-1 up after a brilliant team goal so to say we and I are frustrated is an understatement."
On Ward-Prowse's set-pieces: "Whether it's Southampton in the past or West Ham now, you play against James-Ward Prowse and you know it's going to be on the money. He's as good as there is and you know that coming into it but we haven't conceded goals through a lack of good planning or lack of strategy, we've lacked it in the end through desire to mark your man and not let him beat you and because we've not done that well enough it has cost us."
On reaching his 50th match as Nottingham Forest manager: "It means absolutely nothing at the moment."
FT: West Ham 3-2 Nottingham Forest
West Ham United
West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse speaking to Sky Sports: "We thought we would get there [with the chances we were creating], I think Forest have been really good this season and we knew it would be a difficult test. We got off to a great start and let them back into the game, we didn't make it easy for ourselves but I think it says a lot about the group with the run that we've been on and the game in midweek to grind it out.
"It's all about momentum and consistency and we had a really good start to the season which we haven't carried on. The last two games have been a really good step. International break now, good chance to work on some bits and come back stronger after that."
West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek speaking to Sky Sports: "It is a really big win because the game was turning around all the time, but we kept believing and we won so that's most important, we showed our spirit so I am really happy.
"I'm so happy to score the winner after a few losses in the Premier League. We can go into the international break with a bit of relief and enjoy the time [after winning on Thursday and Sunday] and these points are important in the end so I am delighted.
"[Ward-Prowse] is perfect on set-pieces, all the time with his deliveries. I remember on his first day, everyone was waiting for his set-pieces! He directly showed us his quality, it's prefect for us for the big lads in the box and it is perfect when we get good service."
