Luton Town
Luton midfielder Tahith Chong, speaking to Premier League Productions: "As a team we are disappointed. We wanted more of the ball in the first half and then to concede two goals early in the second was tough.
"We had hope after [Jacob] Browny pulled one back but couldn't find another. We need to bounce back quickly.
"We need to recover for the game [against Arsenal] on Tuesday. We have a good squad and need to keep improving.
Tom Lockyer injury: "It's tough, we've already got several injuries there. The guys who came in did a good job and it's just unfortunate we conceded two goals so quickly in the second half."

The very first 1-2 Everton have played in the game and it’s a goal! A brilliant first touch and snapshot from McNeil. The old cliche of the ‘only real moment of quality’ has come true again.

Forest aren't done yet!
A quick free-kick sees Anthony Elanga played through and the forward dribbles the ball around Everton keeper Jordan Pickford but runs out of room and smashes a shot from an improbable angle against the side-netting.

Everton are full of confidence now and Dwight McNeil is nearly in again but Serge Aurier races back to intercept.

You can see the hunger and desire that this Everton side have got.
I've spoken about the lack of quality in this game, but that was it there from Dwight McNeil.
That's certainly a reason to tune into Match of the Day tonight!

That was Dwight McNeil's first goal of the season. He won't be too worried about that missed chance in the first half now!
Forest have a little under 20 minutes to turn this one around.

What a fantastic finish to give Everton a deserved lead in the game!
Dwight McNeil (67 mins)
Dwight McNeil blasts Everton in front!
It all comes from a long Jordan Pickford free-kick launched forward and the ball eventually falls to Jack Harrison who dinks in a cross.
McNeil collects the delivery, steadies himself, and then smashes the ball into the top corner.
Boom! 1-0.

Disappointing that Fownsey’s story (18:37) received so many downvotes, presumably because most of the contributors are still upset that Man United prevailed in a game of Subbuteo 45 years ago. Are fans really that bitter?!

Nottingham Forest 0-0 Everton
Nottingham Forest can't get out at the moment but, to be honest, their players don't look too worried.
For all of Everton's territory they really don't look like scoring as Beto smashes a shot on the turn into row z.
Has a Premier League side ever looked as toothless going forward as Everton do right now?

This is more like a championship match, the lack of quality is quite alarming for both teams.
