A complete contrast between the two teams tonight.

One team had fight, togetherness, cohesion and energy all throughout the side. Look across the pitch and the other team had absolutely none of that.

To a man Newcastle were better than Manchester United and got the win that their performance deserved.

After the week they have had, Chelsea, PSG away and now back winning against Man Utd. It has been some effort and they fully deserve it.

  2. 'Newcastle miles better than Man Utd'published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    FT: Newcastle 1-0 Man Utd

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker & manager on TNT Sports

Newcastle United were miles better than Manchester United.

The away side were a huge disappointment, and we didn't see any of their best at all tonight. I expect their away following to have been left very unhappy with that performance.

On the flip side Newcastle fans and players will be delighted. Far superior and they take the three points.
