Ayew intentionally stopping an attack by taking the man. Yellow card. Two add up to red card. Very simple stuff.
Mark, Norwich
Palace fouls 13, 5 cards. Liverpool fouls 15, 0 cards. Consistency.

Loads of activity on the Palace bench as they ready second-choice keeper Remi Matthews to come on for his debut.

Palace keeper Sam Johnstone is down getting treatment. He's still only faced one shot on target yet Liverpool are on level terms.

Referee absolutely correct on both yellows - Ayew cynically slowing down a quick free kick right after Palace have been warned about it and then stopping a counter attack cynically again
Ben
Ayew knows the rules. You step in front of a free kick - yellow card. Then he brings down a player to stop a break. Yellow every day of the week. Has everyone forgotten the rules of football?

As it stands, Liverpool are one point behind leaders Arsenal having played one more game. A late winner changes everything.

John Southall
BBC Radio 5 Live at Selhurst Park
We said Roy Hodgson wasn't happy with the decision for the sending off and it has obviously spilt over a bit and he's received a yellow card.
He's still chuntering away to himself. It's a great atmosphere in here. It's end to end stuff.

200 not out, Salah!!
Ken, Glasgow
You know the ref is having a mare when Roy Hodgson gets a booking. That second yellow for Ayew was an absolute joke of a decision. A truly pathetic call by the official
Nick
Crystal Palace 1-1 Liverpool
Roy Hodgson was booked for something immediately after Salah's goal.
Suddenly, Palace are clinging on.
Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah to the rescue with a landmark goal for the Reds!
It's not his best finish but Salah won't care as his bobbled shot ends up in the net.
It's his 200th for Liverpool. And 150th Premier League goal for Chelsea and Liverpool.
Crystal Palace 1-0 Liverpool
Palace are down to 10!

Mark Warburton
Former Brentford boss on BBC Radio 5 Live
Their [Palace's] tails are definitely up, the crowd are clearly up.
Liverpool now are playing more of a 3-2-5. They're putting Gomez in midfield alongside Alexander-Arnold when they're attacking and Gakpo is pushing on.
At the moment you have to say Liverpool are lacklustre and Palace are in good shape.
Crystal Palace 1-0 Liverpool
A lofted ball into the Palace box. Darwin Nunez meets it but he cannot direct it towards the net. The clock is ticking and Jurgen Klopp is getting ready to make more changes.
